42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Today’s Inspiration: We live in a world of uncertainties, injustice, sorrow, broken lives, broken homes and broken ambition. People do not need sympathy or pity, they need comfort. The Church needs Divine comfort from the Holy Spirit to bring heavenly healing into their hearts. In Channel news Asia yesterday, the occult church in Korea has commanded a following of 300,000 people comprising also Christians who probably are not matured enough to discern between what is righteousness and what is wickedness which we are required to discern in Malachi 3:18. The occult church claimed that their success was due to the fact that they were able to fulfill the requirements of the people where the church failed to do so.
What exactly is the church not able to fulfill? This question the church needs to ponder. In my view, the church needs the gift of inspiration which in new testament are words of comfort, edification and exhortation. If there is anything people needs is comfort and inner courage to withstand the testing of our faith. Comfort includes healing of the inner person, healing of memories, healing of sadness and depression. This can be done through praised of God that brings healing, and through sincere fellowship with our brothers and sisters in the Body. Ministries of edification, exhortation and comfort should function in every fellowship and prayer group. Acts 2:42, 46.
As believers we do not boast what we could do but boast of the marvelous deeds of the Lord.
The fear of the Lord has been emphasised throughout scriptures. Isaiah 11:2 also stressed the spirit of the fear of the Lord be upon us as it was with Jesus and to delight in the fear of the Lord in Isaiah 11:3. We should not judge by what we see with our eyes nor decide by what we hear but with righteousness and Justice in v4.
Also we need to know if the school of remembrance has recorded our name. This scroll will record the names of those who fear the Lord and honors His name. Malachi 3:16. Only those whose names are in it are His treasured possession. The one who fear Him will be the ones who revere His name. Those who revere His name will receive healing, strength and vitality and will have Dominion over the enemies. Malachi 4:2-4.
God has given us Dominion in Genesis 1:28 when He created man and empower us to tread on scorpions and serpents and to overcome all the powers of the enemy. Nothing will harm us. Luke 10:18-19.
With all these empowerment, why should we fear? We are to be the light of the world to enlighten the dark world. There are so many spiritual gifts for us to apply as weapons of warfare and one of the greatest gifts of weapons of warfare is our proclaiming of His word to the world that will cause the enemy to flee. If we all proclaim in one unity for corona virus to be wiped off from the land He will do it provided if we have a pure heart and clean hands. Do we have a pure heart and clean hands to destroy the enemy? We also need to ask God to summon His angels to fight with us through the working of miracles. When His presence is magnified in our land, the working of miracles, another great weapon, will be in operation. It’s time to sanctify all our hearts wholly and blameless as a Body to see the enemy corona virus wiped out from this land. 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
We need to come as one body praying in unity declaring God’s power over our land. God’s promises that we will trample down the wicked, and they will be ashes under the soles of our feet on the day of His intervention will not return to Him void. Malachi 4:3, Isaiah 55:11. This is the time and season of restoring unity to the Body of Christ and restoration of families. This is the time where we value the lives of each other most. This is the time to surrender our whole life to the Lord as the life of men is fragile and is in God’s hands. This is the time to plead with God to strengthen our immune system and to normalise the functioning of the systems of our body to fight against the invasion of virus and to maintain emotional health. This is the time to heal all our past hurting memories and the inner healing of our soul.
It’s time to proclaim Divine health over the Nations through restoring to righteousness of God and fear of God in men. God be praised.
63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
Today’s Inspiration: David declared God’s word is very pure and he loved it. Psalm 119:140. To what extent has God’s word purify your soul, comfort you and make you feel good? In Him we have life for it’s the spirit of God speaking through His word to us to give life. Therefore we should not neglect meditation and study of His word. When His word brings light to our soul, we receive our healing. God’s word cannot benefit our flesh unless His word illuminates our spirit to change our mind to health that healing can take place in our body. John 6:63.
Our life is continually in His hands. When God speaks to our spirit through His word, it gives us inspiration and hope. It enables us to pursue our eternal destiny in Him. The testimonies in the Bible especially in the Old testament should be our inspiration and lessons of life to live a life of abundance. Holiness and Godliness with godly character are the pre-requisites of our Christian Life.
When a man’s mind is open to God’s inspirational word, faith arises and the desire of God increases. This hunger for more of the spirit can be enhanced when the spirit is allowed to impregnate into our spirit through the implanting of the word of God.
Proverbs 18:4 tells us that our words are deep Waters but the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling Brook. So we need to have more God’s word implanted in our spirit to receive the fountain of God’s wisdom. As our words can deliver or hurt someone or inspire someone, we need to watch that our words with each other be according to God’s word.
Carrying another burden idolizes yourself. We must lead people to cast their cares upon God for He cares for you. He will never let the righteous fall. Psalm 55:22. God be praised.
13 The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.
Today’s Inspiration: The Lord looks down on all mankind from His dwelling place and watched all who live on the Earth and knows all our hearts and everything we do. No one can hide secrets from Him. He will expose hidden sins. Psalm 33:13. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. V12. How can we ever run from His Spirit?
Seek peace and pursue it, is the tall order of the day. Where there is peace, there is prosperity. Psalm 34:14. If we desire long Life and love our life, we should take heed of our words each day. V13. Idle words are like what James described as tongue that corrupts the whole person and sets the whole course of his life like fire and is in itself set on fire by hell. James 3:6. So watch the door of your lips. Psalm 141:3.
Patience, a fruit of the spirit is what we should practise as it is a form of self control. Love which is of God is in itself patience. With patience, we are deemed a good listener which James says we should be quick to listen. James 1:19. When we are a good listener, we reflect what the whole issue is and then have wisdom to understand and resolve the perception. As a good listener, we are never easily provoked to anger but instead ponder what we speak and not react easily against people’s provocation or perception.
Patience grants us a heart of peace that gives life to the body. Proverbs 14:30. As a tree of Life, we need to speak words of health and healing. Proverbs 15:4.
What are you seeking for this morning? Id there conflicts within yourself between your spirit and your soul? The Lord’s counsel is to be still before Him and not to be anxious but to rely upon the Lord and in good or bad times give thanks and consider why the calamity hits you. Our heart knows our own bitterness and no one else can share it’s joy. Proverbs 14:10. So remove them. The good that we do will be rewarded. V14. Only a heart at peace can give life to the body. V30.
We may make plans from our heart but only the Lord knows if the plans will bear fruit. Many a time our way is not God’s ways. Even though a decision can be made through two or three confirmations, at times the words of the prophets are false. King Jehoshaphat on the advice of King Ahab relied on the 400 false prophets’ counsel and almost lost his life instead of hearing the voice of one true prophet. Thank God for His mercy that saved his life because God remembered he reinstated the Passover, which is a feast of the Lord. Though we are hampered from the celebration this year, we can celebrate them in our lifegroup or our houses like the days of Moses. Celebration of the Passover is for our Deliverance from the enemy’s bondage, salvation and healing. From biblical history, we know that after the Passover, we see prosperity as in the days of Hezekiah who prospered greatly after celebration of the Passover. 2 Chronicles 32:27. God be praised.
26 So Balaam answered and said to Balak, “Did I not tell you, saying, ‘All that the Lord speaks, that I must do’?”
Today’s Inspiration: God is sovereign. Balaam proclaimed that he would not dare curse Israel as he must do whatever the Lord says. Numbers 23:26. He further proclaimed that he could not do anything good or bad on his own accord to go beyond the commands of the Lord. If Balaam a prebeliever fears God as to abide to His word, how much more we as believers should obey. Remember God’s covenant to Abraham, whoever blessed him will be blessed and whoever cursed him will be cursed. Genesis 12:3. This is applicable now even to us as seeds of Abraham.
How important it is to be able to discern the voice of God! Today it is vital that we need to cling onto our faith. What you see in the natural may inflict fear in you but as the Body of Christ, fear or panic is a deception and not our portion. A time will come when the whole ordeal will be over and it all depends on the measure of faith. When God acts, He always catches us unaware.
What is God speaking to the church today? Even in Italy, doctors who believe in science and not God are getting saved in expectation that their life on Earth be taken away from them anytime. The fear of God has come upon them. God always has His timing to bring people to their knees. This is a season of Awakening to the wondrous power of God and a day of salvation.
Sometimes we wonder why God don’t heal believers, even those with gifts of healing. Mark 1:32-34 you look at the verses that all who were sick and those who were demon possessed were brought to Jesus, but only many were healed and many have their demons cast out. Hence even during Jesus’ ministry not all were healed. Galatians 4:13 Paul himself on one occasion suffered severely illness in the body even though he was used to perform amazing signs and wonders. He asked God to take it away but God said His grace is sufficient for Him and to take on His strength. I recalled once my mom’s doctor told us that my mom has no will to live or she could live another 5 years. She had never suffered sickness in her life except a boil at the last moment which was not properly dressed by my sister in law. This is because she was very heart broken when my dad passed on in his sleep a year ago. Sometimes people don’t want to be healed.
The other reason is the unbelief which Jesus rebuked his disciples. Unbelief paralysed the gift of healing and prevent the Holy Spirit’s manifestation. Some diseases are healed through forgiveness because the sickness was due to sins of the soul. I have seen many cancer healed after they forgive the offender that had caused them bitterness of the soul. When we don’t forgive, God hands us to Satan for destruction of the flesh. This is where you see decay of the body organs. It is God’s word that prevents it’s destruction. Psalm 107:20. Yet Apostle Paul says that we don’t look at the scans but we look at the spirit that must be renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16. V17 our sickness is achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all, which is our sanctification and transformation of our soul. It’s the childlike faith that touched the heart of God to heal.
When you are traumatised by fear of diseases, that fear brought forth the manifestation. So whatever you are facing, it is important not to have fear but faith, joy and righteousness in the Holy Spirit. God will not let you bear beyond what you can bear. 1 Corinthians 10:13. He desires to heal depending on the measure of your faith and your attitude towards Him. “Do you believe” is a question Jesus always asked when people come to him for healing? I did the same to many people in the Nations. Many were healed because of their belief. God be praised.
18 Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea..
Today’s Inspiration: The Lord has called us to have peace like a river and righteousness like the waves of the sea. Isaiah 48:18. This is not the time to panic but a time to summon God’s people to corporate prayer against coronavirus as God is about to bring healing to our land. Malachi 4:2. We need to lay hold of the scriptures that promised us victory. Psalm 91 should be the scripture to meditate this week and declare. But before we pray we must have a clean and pure heart through sanctification of His word. 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
It’s not a time to fear for when you fear it comes to you. Job 3:25. It’s a time to take up our Spiritual weapons of war to battle against the enemy. It is vital now to put on our helmet of salvation so that we will not be deceived by the enemy and take up the sword of the spirit as in Ephesians 6:17 to war against coronavirus. We are hidden in the shadow of His wings and He has made us a polished shaft. Isaiah 49:2. It’s time we join the angelic Army to conquer coronavirus without fear, with the cross before us and the Blood of Jesus over us.
Violent faith is needed in this battle. Faith is a spiritual force that has real substance in the spiritual realm. In the spiritual realm, dimension of time does not exist. Exodus 3:14, Revelation 1:11. Our violent faith would be enough to shake the kingdom of God, touched the Lord God with whom there is no beginning or end of time.
It’s only our prayer, catapulted by the force of faith that can touch the blood of Jesus which paved the way for us to come to the throne of God to make our appeal. Galatians 3:28-29.
Only our persistent faith like that of the Syrophenician woman of Jesus times, could kill the corona virus to heal our land. At this moment we need to exercise our faith to make it strong and unshakeable. When the woman approached Jesus for healing, He said it was not yet time for the Gentiles to be healed. Matthew 15:24. Yet in verse 28 He healed her daughter ahead of time. Did Jesus contradict Himself? The answer lies in her persistent imploring to Jesus for His intervention to heal. This violent faith touched the Lord our God to move across the dimension of time to perform a miracle all the way from dimension of time which contained Christ’s finished work on the cross. The woman has what she desires as proclaimed by Jesus in Matthew 15:28 which was not the time to heal the Gentiles until the finished work on the cross. God can do the impossible. Luke 1:37.
Neglect of prayer in the church has allowed the enemy the right to enter with the global pandemic ahead of time. It’s time that the church awakened to attend corporate prayer to war against the corona virus. If one can take 1000 to flight and two ten thousand, then if we gather in the assembly in corporate prayer, the corona virus will surely leave the Nations as quickly as they invaded. As we submit to God and resist the enemy, they will flee from us. James 4:7.
Satan has no legal right over God’s people. Jesus will take back His crown and rule over the Nations. Corona virus is dethroned and Jesus has already defeated Satan, who is always determined to destroy humanity. We will say no entry to Him and our homes, our family, our business and our ministry. Once again the economy will prosper so will the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As God’s people, let’s take up our polished weapons of war and gather as an army to fight this battle. Jesus will enforce victory.
Death and defeat is not our portion. Long healthy life is our portion. God be praised who does not give us a spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7.
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
Today’s Inspiration: In times of trials, we need to thank God as it’s His ways of getting our attention to transform our natural understanding to spiritual understanding. Trials are meant for us to test our patience, the fruit of the spirit. Temptation is an evil force that entices us to give way to our own desires instead of obedience to His commandments, which are the Laws that liberate us to attain the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12.
Judgement begins in the House of God. Obedience to the Laws of liberty brings forth blessings. It is written that judgement is without mercy to those who don’t show mercy for mercy triumphs over judgement. James 2:12-13. Therefore exercise mercy even on those who are weak or less privileged.
Faith alone is not enough to attract a breakthrough. The sick in the New testament times have faith. But if they don’t act by taking the initiative to press in to approach Jesus for healing, even though He is unreachable having been shrouded by the crowd, they would not have received their miracles. Faith therefore without efforts regardless of circumstances is dead. James 2:20.
Hence we should not only be hearers but doers of the word. When we are hearers only, we deceive ourselves. James 1:22. Given spiritual gifts as weapons of warfare, if we don’t operate them, people are not set free, neither will you be set free. We need the Holy Spirit to saturate our soul to catch hold of our spirit to flow with Him to touch the lives of others via our gifts. Three criteria were given to us for quality of trials. When we go through testing, we must be quick to hear the voice of God, slow to speak and slow to anger. Had Abraham not trained himself to hear the timely word of God, Isaac would have not been spared. It was his devotion to God and closeness to Him that he could heed and obeyed His instructions on time.
So learn to hear God’s spirit, learn to obey His voice, have faith and act according to His will, then all will be well with you. When you are desperate, you will never fail to act. God be praised.
29 He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.
Today’s Inspiration: The global crisis had brought a lot of fear to the Nations but we ought to question ourselves if we believe in God’s sovereign power. He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might He increased strength. Isaiah 40:29. Whatever the circumstances, Apostle Paul encouraged us that our strength lies in Christ alone. Philippians 4:13.
To be anxious for nothing is God’s desire for us. Instead of anxiety, we must make our request known to God in prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6. Allowing Christ access to our spirit will bring peace to our soul that surpasses all natural understanding to guard out hearts and mind through Christ Jesus. V7. This peace is what we need at this time of uncertainty and turmoil which every nation is facing, which can only be attained from Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus also told us that we should not worry in Matthew 6:31. For our heavenly Father knows we need things to survive and will indeed supply even before we ask. V8. We just need to seek First the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the things we require will be added to us. V33. He ended His teaching with the word again not to worry about our future. Our destiny is in His hands.
With this assurance, we just need to pray and not murmur, worry nor complain. To murmur is a rebellion that is likened to sin of witchcraft and will bring us to destruction. 1 Samuel 15:23. We have understood that in the days of Moses, multitudes were murmuring against him for lack of water and food. Those who were in rebellion were not able to inherit the Promised Land but die in the wilderness.
There are times we question ourselves why God’s promises are slow to be fulfilled. For this, we need to check our spirit if we have laid down our old nature of murmuring, complaining, which are all filthiness and rebellion, which comes from old nature of wickedness of heart, required in James 1:21. Such tree does not bear good fruit and will be cursed, causing them to be withered and thrown into the fire. Matthew 7:19. Instead we need the implanted word of the Lord to empower us to save our souls and to overcome all difficulties that are before us.
Moses in his days were faced with problems that are not easily solved like the situation today. Yet because of his life of intimacy with God and reverence before God, the Holy Spirit guided him through and gave him strength and courage to overcome all the difficulties he had to face before Pharaoh to deliver the Israelites from bondage and the harshness in the journey to the promised Land. Without the close intimacy with God and consistent prayer life and reverential fear of the Lord, he would not have detonated the landmines. As leader, he need to have confidence in the Lord in whatever circumstances and would not allow circumstances that test his faith to deter him from yielding to the spirit to overcome all the snares of the enemy.
So let us lift up the high standard of God like Moses to encourage those who are fearful and weary with the truth that will set them free. John 8:32. The key at this moment is to quench all the fears, which are fiery darts aimed at our soul. God be praised!
26 “Did you not hear long ago how I made it, from ancient times that I formed it? Now I have brought it to pass, that you should be for crushing fortified cities into heaps of ruins…”
Today’s Inspiration: God saved us through Christ to make a difference. Fears and insecurity should be removed from our spirit as they are signs of unbelief. Unbelief is sin. God’s word already gives us authority to crush the enemy’s fortified cities into heaps of ruins. Isaiah 37:26. No matter how huge a storm Satan is stirring against the Nations, we as believers should cling onto God’s promises that He will defend and protect us. V35.
When King Hezekiah was affected by the words of the enemy, Prophet Isaiah assured him that God will deliver them and not to be enticed by the words of deception by the enemy. Isaiah 37:5-7.
What do you fear at this moment? Turn your eyes upon Jesus the author of all things on Earth. By the way the virus came, in His sovereignty they shall return back to the pit. V34. If God can send His angel to kill 185000 Assyrians that threatened Israel in one day, God can do it again. V36. It’s not time to lay down the armour but to put on the shield of faith and take up the sword of the spirit to fight against evil forces that had frozen all the Nations. We need to pray for the spiritual Awakening of the Church and to pray in the spirit for the Holy Spirit’s manifestation of miraculous intervention like in the days of biblical history. May the fear of God be upon the Nations and perishing souls be saved.
God’s people who know who their God is and His nature should never fear but commit their whole life to God. He will strengthen and uphold us with His righteous right hand. Just be prayerful and have intimacy with God to hear what the the spirit is speaking to the church. Isaiah 41:10. God be praised.
