2 Chronicles 6:19
19 Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O Lord my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:
We will have warfare only when we disobey. We should replace with Love. Love is represented by four words. Listen, obey, value and excellent. Throughout scriptures in every book we are to listen and obey. Saul did not obey and the Kingdom was torn from him and Samuel was no longer the prophet he could consult. 1 Samuel 15:22 and 15:28.
We need to value what He has given us be it spouse or workers. When we value little things and be faithful God will give greater things. Don’t aim for the sky when you cannot value and love those God has given you.
When you fulfill all the above, everything excellent comes to you. David was happy tending the sheep God gave and make use of his time by praising God as a psalmist. His promotion was gradual and not instantaneous. He allowed God to mould him and eventually occupies the highest place in the land being the king of Jerusalem. He was tested and had a chance to kill king Saul but he didn’t. He will not touch God’s anointed. Every believer is God’s anointed.
When your promotion is instaneous, you will fall easily. King Solomon says that we should not strive to get rich. We should allow God to lead us to the riches. With Him are riches, honour and life.
