10 “You are My witnesses,” says the LORD, “And My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me.
Today’s Inspiration: Isaiah stressed it very clearly that before God there was no other god formed nor will there be anyone after Him. He is even the Lord and besides Him, there is no saviour. There is no one who can receive deliverance other than from Him. Our role is to be His witness as spiritual Israel. Isaiah 43:10-13. What He does, no one can reverse it.
How awesome is our God! This message was as clear as crystal to me on the day I encountered Christ in an open vision, where coming out of the cloud, He told me he was the God I was searching for and revealed my calling. As I searched the scripture, I found more and more meaning towards life and the purpose of life on earth. As king Solomon says life is meaningless at the opening of the Book of Ecclesiastes. Yet every word of God is pure and a shield to those who trust in Him. Nothing could be added to what He has specified in the Bible. Proverbs 30:5 -6.
Looking at people’s lives especially those from the humble villages, life is filled with volumes of pain, struggles, unanswered prayers, and questions as to why the necessity of carrying the pain to fulfil our calling. There are so much unfairness in life that led many to go into self-pity, instead of seeking God for the image He wants us to be. People are hiding pain in their smiles, in poems and songs. The world has much to offer yet people cannot find anything in the world to give true meaning in their lives. Suddenlies are far too many to cope with, some of which are tragic.
We can find true meaning in life only in Christ. We just have to take God on His word. He is the way, the truth and the life. John 14:6.
Sometimes we think God has disappointed us but actually we have disappointed Him. Our relationship with God is not based on true love but based on performance rather than upon His grace. Philippians 1:6.
The prodigal son’s father was happy to be reconciled with his prodigal son but it was not a happy ending. There was yet another son’s jealousy to resolve. Life is so messed up.
Many a time we force God to fit into our mould our image, our idea of how He should respond to us. We tend to blame him for not meeting our expectations. Many fall away because of God not saving their spouse or father.
We pray the Lord’s prayer daily but do not know its significance. Our prayer should not come with desire list but a prayer to God that there is more meaning to the desert experience we are going through. We should pray for more understanding of a true relationship with God and an understanding of His Kingdom and His plans for us behind the pain. We should seek God for a closer communion with Him and telling Him we are still confident of Him even in the midst of a dark night of the soul.
Jesus taught about a new wine skin to contain new wine. Spending time with God is for a new wine skin of grace. If we think His desire is only to give us what we ask for, we are truly mistaken. We have misunderstood the process of new wine skin. To be able to have a new wine skin to be transformed from glory to glory in 2 Corinthians 3:18, we have to look beyond self, beyond our pain, and surrendering our needs to Him and die to self that we might live. In Him is life and life ever abundantly. Job has to shut his mouth of reasoning and hastening an answer to his plight in the presence of an omnipotent God who knows what he requires. Proverbs 21:23, Job 40:4-5. Between seedtime and harvest time is the waiting time. God is testing our patience and perseverance through all the fiery trials we are facing. You may have bad news recently but do not despair. God knows what He is doing. He wants you to experience Him in a deeper way. He is Emmanuel. God is with us.
