Luke 11:28

28  But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

Today’s Inspiration: Jesus says” Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” (Luke 11:28) Throughout scriptures, God has been shouting to our ears on obedience and since the days of Moses we are no different from the Israelites who are stubborn hearted and rebellious. It reigns throughout generations that the generational iniquity has deterred us from progressing. We should adopt the attitude of seeking the Lord, be obedient to His commands and let Him handle the rest of the problems for us after all it is written that it’s not by might, not by power but by His Spirit says the Lord. (Zechariah 4:6) as the outcome of the battle depends on the sovereignty of the Lord.

There is a time for everything. Ecclesiastes 3:1. For Jehoshaphat’s time, it was the time of victory if he would stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. 2 Chronicles 20:17. Hence he was able to rise up to believe in God and believe in the prophet.

The key to his victory is obedience. Through the process of warfare, he collected the days of spoils of the enemies from the dead bodies that were slain. He went out to win the war for Judah but ended up receiving abundant treasure as well, contrary to his expectation. He received more than he was seeking for. Behind every victory God has a purpose beyond our comprehension.

Besides this, it was to regain confidence for future battles, gaining new strengths and new anointing, new authority and greater power to overthrow our enemies for the future.

Whatever you are battling, ask God for the purpose and plan behind the problem! It has been recorded in biblical history that after a severe trial, triumph comes with financial breakthrough for God’s next plan. It’s never for our own lavish spending but more for kingdom purposes. Hence it is written that you shall remember the Lord your God for it is He who gives you power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers. (Deuteronomy 8:18).

May You be inspired today and stay blessed. God be praised!.
