1 Come, and let us return to the Lord for He has torn, but He will heal us;
He has stricken, but He will bind us up,
2 After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up,
That we may live in His sight.
3 Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth.
God may allow affliction but He will heal us. He is a loving God. Hosea 6:1-3.
Hosea reveals God’s loving heart. God’s desire to bless His people far outshines His people’s disobedience even the darkness of their sins. God can turn your mess to a message if you are willing to come with a true repentant heart. Repeatedly God returns to the promise of restored relationship as the underlying a purpose of His necessary judgement.
His love for you is everlasting, He wants to build you up and you shall be rebuilt. He wants to bring joy back to you. Jeremiah 31:3-4.
The Lord puts premium value on His relationship with us. Let us seek faithfully to return to His love with obedience.
TGod desires mercy not sacrifice and knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. Hosea 6.6. Therefore on the one hand He desires your obedience on giving but far more important He wants your attitude of giving not only finances but Love, mercy and justice. In times of affliction we need His mercy, grace and peace. What you sow is what you reap. Galatians 6:7.
Like Jesus tells his disciples to go and do likewise what He has taught them. So let us practise what He taught and teach others what He taught us as well.
