36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
Today’s Inspiration: True compassion is found on only the nature of God. Only God knows the full depth of an individual’s pain and/or suffering. He is fully aware of their ravaged condition of human brokenness and are moved with compassion for He knows their weariness and lost like sheep without a shepherd. Matthew 9:36.
Christ-likeness calls us to learn Jesus’ heart of compassion, a depth of sensitivity that can be worked in us through the Holy spirit, reconditioning our heart to be able to sense the passion of human bondage and to weep with those who weep. Hebrews 13:3. Compassion brings tears for the hardness of hearts that were blinded by their habitual sins.
The harvest is truly plentiful but the workers are few. Therefore let us pray for the Lord of the harvest to send more workers to the harvest field and also ask the Holy spirit to convert the spectators to participate in the harvesting of souls. Matthew 9.37-38.
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we have power and authority to heal all kinds of sickness and diseases and power over unclean spirits to cast them out and draw them to Jesus. Matthew 10:1. A disciple is a learner who follows both the teaching and the teacher. The word is used first of the twelve and later of Christians generally. Are you a disciple? If you are, then you will continue with the work Jesus did in the New testament and greater works shall you do because Jesus is already glorified and you have more years to reap the harvest than Jesus. John 14:12.
