28 But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”.
Today’s Inspiration: Jesus said your mother who gives birth to you is blessed but more than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it. Luke 11:28. God stressed again and again that the goodness of life lies in the meditation of the word and keeping it in your heart in order to be successful in life. It’s imperative that the word of God is checked against your heart condition to bring forth a transformation that will impact the lives of family and community. So do not forsake the meditation of the word that helps you to grow spiritually, which is the key to every facet of your life. Joshua 1:8-9.
As His disciple, we must ensure the inner heart is pure and clean. He rebuked the Pharisees for focusing on external appearance only, neglecting the inward part which is full of covetousness and wickedness. Verse 39. Jesus was actually speaking about obedience of the word to at least exercise justice, love, tender compassion and mercy to those in need. These are basics that could have made them clean.
Those who seek signs are classified by Jesus as an evil generation. Verse 29. Therefore don’t seek signs.
When we are truly born again, we will seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness first. Matthew 6:33. Our priorities then will change. Our greatest desire will be to serve and honour our risen Saviour because it is He who purchased us with His own blood.
Even if the world considers us useless, Jesus considers us of great value. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1.
