Genesis 20:7

7 Now therefore, restore the man’s wife; for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.”

Today’s Inspiration: How important it is walk in the anointing of your call! Abraham was called to be a prophet Genesis 20:7 and the prophetic office was further developed in the person of Moses Deuteronomy 18:15, 34:10. But with Samuel the prophet finally became an essential par of national life. Samuel’s dealing with Saul were in the line of prophetic function.

The main function of a prophet is to draw people back to God. This is the commission we are to embark which churches have neglected. We need to discern the times. Whatever we do, we need to seek God for His agenda and not ours. Matthew 6:33. Habakkuk sought God when he intervenes for the crisis of His people and God got him to write the vision on a tablet and pursue. This is what we are called for. To seek God and His directions for His people. Habakkuk 2:1-3.

Hearing the voice of God is the birthright of every born again believer. John 10.27-28, Revelation 3:20. Listen to what God is speaking in this season. Keep a journal of what He says daily and pursue without delay. Obedience to God’s call and agenda is what God is directing us today. Wait for God to bring His agenda to pass. First you must respond in obedience and at the right timing He will bring it to pass. It will not delay. Ezekiel 12:28.

The Bible shows that the presence or absence of dreams and visions will determine whether or not people are seeking the Lord and attentive to His warnings or promises. 1 Samuel 3. 1. Proverbs 29:18.

Visionaries are people of faith who start the fire and keep it burning. We must be people who spark a new move of God. Be still and hear what the spirit of the Lord has to say like Samuel and Jeremiah did. Jeremiah 1:5. 1 Samuel 3:1. Tell Him ‘Speak Lord your servant is hearing’. Verse 10. We need to have calmness of the spirit to be still. Psalm 46:10. Do not wait till you are in crisis to seek Him for His will.
