16 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Today’s Inspiration: The realities of life is described very distinctly in the Book of Ecclesiastes. It is the way of life shown by our Lord Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life. John 14:6. One very distinct word that I wish to highlight today is the creative force of our words. Though many a time our failure is caused by words, men do not realise it because they were brought up in an environment of negativity and suspicion. There are times that we are so rash in our words we never realise that not only those words hurt others but it boomerangs back to us. This is happening even when we are in the House of God. Hence King Solomon cautioned us not to be rash with our mouth especially if this is the year of the mouth. Let our words be few. Special caution be made to our vows to God. Ecclesiastes 5:1-2.
We may not realise that the words from our mouth can affect our flesh and even entice us to sin even our thoughts. By the time we realise it, it’s too late and there is a tendency to give excuses which cannot be tolerated. V6.
Regrettably God made man upright but they are prone to various schemes that brought dire consequences to their life and family. Ecclesiastes 7:9. This is why God warned us of covetousness in the tenth commandment not to covet. I have found in life that it’s best to live simply and be content in all circumstances rather than pursue our own desires that may not be what God has planned for our life. Man no matter how wise will find at the end of his life that what he set out to discover will be fruitless because our life is not dependent on our ability, our skill, our intellect, but our life is still in the hands of God. He chose to give. He chose to take away. Ecclesiastes 8:17, 5:15.
Pursue God and fear Him should be the whole duty of man. For this year 2020 I leave you with 2 scriptures. Acts 20:20 keep nothing back what you have been taught. Spread the Good news. Use your tongue as a creative force to bring more people to Christ. 2 Chronicles 20:20 Believe in God, believe in the prophet and you shall be established. May 2020 be a year of great significance in your life, a year of miraculous provision and healing, a year of great salvation experience. God be praised!
