James 4:4

“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Today’s Inspiration: Today our flesh is always battling against the spirit. There is one thing we need to conquer is the flesh because it is enmity against God. James mentioned that whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4. What he truly meant is that we should not conform to world’s standards in our daily life but to what the Lord says in His word. Hebrews 4:12. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. James 4:6. For God to lift you up you must humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, submit to Him your life, resist the devil so that he can’t draw near but flee from you. God had given His word to guide us through life and they are infallible. If we abide by the word, and the truth has touched our hearts, it should set us free for the Bible says that you shall know the truth and the truth which is Jesus will set you free. John 8:32. Until you understand Jesus’ hearts, and He occupies a bigger space than you in your hearts, you cannot be set free. If Jesus is not bigger than yourself in your hearts, you find it difficult to appropriate scripture in your life and hence scriptures could not impact your life. We have to incarnate the word of God and own it. Scriptures must be so dear in our heart that it caused a conviction to change and the mind renewed. Romans 12:2.

We need to pray that God will give us wisdom and power to change ourselves first and then our ministries so that we can be fruitful instruments in His hand. God be praised!
