15 “As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them wonders.”
Today’s Inspiration: Micah 7:15 assured us that as in the days when God delivers us from the bondage of the world (Egypt), God will show us wonders again. You will find difficulty in this statement because for years you have prayed for a breakthrough yet nothing happens. Sometimes you wonder what is wrong. Promises are given again and again. You call forth the promises but nothing happens. One possibility could be that your devotion to Him takes lesser priority than your desperate cry to fulfill your desires.
Your focus on getting your prayers answered can become an idol that eclipsed your devotion to the Lord. We were all created to have communion with the Lord. This should be foremost in our hearts. Yet we are focusing more on fulfilling our vision of success rather than devotion to God.
It is more fulfilling to serve the Lord and helping others to fulfill their vision. This truth is difficult for the immature to abide.
The true measure of authentic ministry is for one to reproduce their ministry in others and have them succeed. The Lord requires the immature to go through a time of serving someone else’s vision before He will let them pursue their own.
We need to produce more fathers in ministry. Paul lamented that there are many teachers but not many fathers. 1 Corinthians 4:15. A true father finds more satisfaction in seeing his children succeed more than his own. We cannot expect others to commit to our vision when we cannot commit to the vision of others.
James 4:6 God opposed the proud and gives grace to the humble. Self-centredness must be set aside to take on the fruit of faithfulness. God is developing faithfulness in us day by day. David models faithfulness to the Lord by observing God’s timing of his ascension to the throne. If we react to those who are unfaithful to us then we are still immature. Everything that the Lord allows us to go through is to conform to His image. Romans 12:2. He will make everything beautiful in His time. Ecclesiastes 3:11, to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. Now is the time to produce spiritual fathers in our midst. God be praise!
