1 Samuel 18:7
7 So the women sang as they danced, and said: “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.”
Today’s Inspiration: Many are brought up in an environment of forced conformity to their caretakers’ jurisdiction in early years. We never realise that we have given so much power to people over us from infancy. The consequences of suppressed anger has led to us missing God’s calling to forge ahead to take great exploits because of fear and insecurity. King Saul could not continue reigning because his fear and insecurity leads to bitterness against David, who has already risen to fame and popularity among his people. 1 Samuel 18:7.
In the kingdom of God, there is no competition. We are uniquely created to complement others in the team to empower success in all our projects. We need to have a solid foundation with God, deeply rooted in His word that will cause us to think like Him and walk in love like Him. We were not brought up to walk in love but brought up to achieve. This results in the neglect of working out our life to conform into His image which is what we were created to be. We should resist the enemy of our soul but we get into confrontation with those closest to us. We do not realise that the bitter root has sprung up in our soul little by little that can eventually form into tumour and this is why cancer is so rampant today because parents are producing rebellious children as a result of conformity. Deuteronomy 28:27.
But thanks be to God, because of Jesus’ death on the cross, we can be redeemed. He sends His word to heal us. Psalm 107:20. We have authority to uproot what God had not planted for Jesus now had full authority in heaven and on earth. Matthew 15:13, Matthew 28:18. That authority is given to us as His disciple to cast out the unwanted sickness and diseases. Matthew 10:1. He has taken all our infirmities and diseases to the cross. Matthew 8:17. We do not need to carry them anymore. Our responsibility is to resist the enemy who is all out to devour us and we have authority to do so for greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4. God promised us healing. Jeremiah 30:17.
