Jeremiah 32:17

17   ‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

Today’s Inspiration: Heeding His voice is key. Nothing is to difficult for Him. Jeremiah 32:17. In Mark 8:17-18, Jesus questioned his disciples as to why they have eyes but no insight, have ears but unable to detect the voice. In the hustle and bustle of the commercial world, we tend to lose our focus to our spiritual significance. We cannot have one track mind nor be distracted.

Mark 8:16. The disciples thought His teaching was on talking about lack of bread. Actually Jesus was warning them about the Pharisees and Herod. Lack of bread has never been Jesus’ focus. He knows His Father is a provider who will always do good for His people and not let them have lack. Jesus had to remind them of the miraculous provision of God as He lifted up the bread and the fish to heaven to multiply to feed the multitudes. How quickly one forget God’s miracles for them! We cannot afford to be complacent. As His disciple, we should not focus on matters of food and hunger but to alert them not to conform to world’s standards.

Jesus is always interested in confounding men’s hardened hearts and lack of understanding Spiritual truths. Mark 6:51-52.

Many a time we think God neglects our needs. Actually He is always with us but we cannot see Him. He told that Moses that He is always present with him Exodus 3:12. He told that to His disciples the same thing. Mt 28:20. We tend to miss the lessons from Jesus’ teachings when fear and panic gripped us. To learn who God is, we have to be still. Psalm 46:10.

If we remember all His promises for us and trust Him to bring to fulfillment, we would not panic in times of crisis. When the storm came, Jesus was sleeping and they thought He didn’t care for their safety. V38.

How many times the disciples could not understand the lessons Jesus taught? We are no exception. If they had been alert, they would not focus on their sleep but watch and pray. The devil always wants to put us to sleep so that we are not alert of the events happening at the spiritual realm. It’s time God’s people be alert to the next strategy of Satan against God’s people.

We need to move from drinking milk of basic truths to consuming the solid meat of His teaching. If we want more Revelation of His word, we will have to apply the lessons taught to our life and ministry so that more can be given for our benefit. Matthew 13:11-12. Whoever has, more will be given and they will have abundance. God be praised for the pomegranates are blooming as we enter 2020. Songs 6:11.
