1 Chronicles 29:11
11 Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.
Today’s Inspiration: What makes David different to be classified by Samuel as a man after God’s heart? I believe strongly its his full devotion and pursuit of God that pleases God. He was the only one who desire to build God a house. His mouth is full of praises of our Lord our God. He declared the Lord’s greatness, power and glory, majesty and splendour. Everything in heaven and earth is His. He recognised that everything belongs to the Lord including wealth and honour. His responsibility is just to give thanks and praises to His glorious name. Such devotion David gives to God. 1 Chronicles 29:10-14.
God always tests the heart especially the heart of giving. Money is always very close to the heart. The measure of your love for the Lord is measured by your giving. Verse 17. Integrity and humility are the hallmarks of success. David’s success is based only on praising God in his life and giving generously which brings forth a covenant from God to establish his throne forever.
When Noah made sacrifices to God, he received a covenant that He will not destroy His people through flood in the future. How much it hurts His heart to see the anguish and sufferings of His people! Genesis 8:21. Seedtime and harvest time, day and night will not cease as long as the earth endures. God has made man in His image. Therefore we should have His attributes. Genesis 9:6.
He is merciful. He will not destroy all living creatures again even though He knows inclinations of the heart of man is evil from childhood. Therefore pain and trauma from childhood has to be delivered. God be praised Genesis 8:21. His Love for you is everlasting and desires not to see the sufferings of His children.
Meditate God’s covenant in Genesis 9 about fruitfulness and multiplication and not bringing a flood to destroy all life. This covenant is everlasting. Genesis 9:7-11, 13-17 especially.
