4 Listen, please, and let me speak; You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.
5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You.
6 Therefore I abhor[a] myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”
Today’s Inspiration: Job had no understanding of who God is. He only prayed for himself and his family and offered sacrifices for the children and himself. God wanted him to know who God is. We can only understand who God is through love for God is love. God had to open his eyes that his abilities, talents and network of customers means nothing without His grace and mercy. God showed him the importance of worship and intercession. Our wealth and our possessions cannot be more important than God. God showed him that whatever He has, is by His grace and mercy and no matter how hard he prayed or make sacrifices he is at His mercy. All along his ears have heard him but God wants Job to see Him with His wondrous love. Till we have nowhere to turn, He cannot have our attention. God had to strip him of everything so that he has to fully rely on Him. Job 42:4-6.
If you are going through trials surely God has a message to deliver. Seek Him and live.
If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Let us not love in words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18. God is greater than our hearts and He knows everything. V20.
We cannot say we love God yet hates the brother. If we do so, we are branded a murderer and no murderer has eternal life in him. If we love our brother we have passed from death to life. 1 John 3:13-15.
If we love God more than others,we would love them more than we would. Prayer without worship can be an idol.
The Question God challenged us in yesterday’s service is “Have you learn to love?” This is the question Jesus will ask us when we face HIM on the day of judgement. This was revealed to Bob Jones when he died in 1974 and resurrected to live till 2016 where he saw Jesus questioning those who died in Christ whether they have learned to love. I believe His message for this season is to learn to love God first then our loved ones and others who are our brethren or our neighbour. God be praised!
