2 Chronicles 20:15
15 And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
Today’s Inspiration: 2 Chronicles 20:15 The battle belongs to the Lord. Its not yours. Whatever concerns you concerns God. Christians panic in crisis because they look at problems. It’s not so with David. 1 Samuel 30:6 David was greatly distressed because his men spoke of stoning him because they blamed him as he and his men lost their families and possessions. We are always quick to point a finger on our leaders when things go wrong. David immediately sought the Lord and asked Him for strategy to overcome the situation he was facing. He did not rush to retaliate but sought the Lord and was confident the Lord would deliver Him and vindicate him. When you have covenantal relationship with God, you will not be afraid of anything or anyone. You just have to stand strong in your position in Christ. You are not bothered about any false accusations. 1 Samuel 30:8.
Likewise with Moses and Aaron, the whole community grumbled against them because there was no food in the desert. They wanted to go back to their old life rather than starve in the desert. Exodus 16:2-3. Moses confronted them saying that it is the Lord who provided meat and all the manna and they are grumbling against the Lord not them. They are not their provider. The Lord is.
Moses was able to hear specifically from God because of His covenantal relationship with God. Manna and quail rained from heaven with specific instructions. Exodus 16. In verse 35 these remain their food for 40 years till they reach the border of Canaan.
Every Good thing will come under the attack of the devil. But the Lord has given you the grace and power to defeat your enemy and gain the victory. Luke 10.19. With God we will gain victory and trample down our enemies. Psalm 108:13. Let your heart be steadfast for great is His love for you, higher than the heavens and His faithfulness reaches to the skies. Exalt Him above the heavens and let His glory be over all the earth. Psalm 108:4-5.
May these be examples for us to build a closer walk with the Lord. 1 Corinthians 10:11. Stand firm.
