Luke 12:15

15  And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of [a]covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”

Today’s Inspiration: Jesus taught us in Luke 12:15 that a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possession. What counts is a heart at peace that gives life to the body. Proverbs 14:30.

If we are to enter into the promised land in the new era, we need to speak forth God’s promises to fulfillment. Romans 4:17, what you decide in your heart will be done and light will shine your ways. Job 22:28.

So why be disturbed and be downcast? Some of you may have grown up in environment of anger and you carry this emotion through to adulthood. Anger is expressed when a need is not fulfilled. Even a baby is angry when a need like feeding is not given on time.

Why does a person react in anger even as an adult? They demand attention of their needs. While anger maybe one way to gain control, in the short term, it back fires, destroying relationship in the long term leading to bitterness. Ephesians 4:26-27. We have to get rid of them. V31. Instead be compassionate and kind to one another, forgiving each other as Christ forgave you. V32.

The first tool to handling anger is to take responsibility for your reaction and what you do with that anger. The destructive root of family anger is to blame. The blame game has losers not winners.

Second tool is to find healthy and safer ways to vent your anger.

Thirdly be aware of how you talk to yourself. What we say to ourselves influence our emotions. We need to change and be able to influence our emotions. To overcome anger try enjoying one another.

Our anger starts when we were a child throwing tantrums demanding attention of our parents. That’s the only way they learn from adult’s anger.

Anger is never appropriate for families. It’s time families learn to resolve anger. God knows nothing is impossible for Him. Mark 9:23. Anger tantrums is a test of how we react. Once we overcome, we will come forth as gold. Job 23:10. If you lose your patience, gentleness and self-control, you lose your peace. The devil loves stealing your fruit of peace, therefore do not allow him an opportunity. Submit to God and be at peace with Him. In this way prosperity will come to you. Job 22:21.

We are entering an era of increase in harvest. God be praised!
