13 Therefore the Lord said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men…”
Today’s Inspiration: The Lord has impressed in my heart to spur the Body of Christ to pray for Divine health for the Nations especially Singapore, since last year as there are too much suddenlies of late for good and of bad. We do not take heed when times are good because Satan kept us busy in our work and ministry but today we see the whole world’s attention is now focused on prayer for protection against the virus because of the crisis, which only God has the answer and purpose of allowing it to happen. The saying’prevention is better than cure’is a true statement indeed. Jesus in his days quoted Isaiah 29:13 that in as much as the people draw near with their mouth and honor Him with their lips, their hearts are far removed from Him. Many profess to be Christians but their relationship with God, is mere outward show. There is no real conviction in their hearts. Churches seem to be strong on the outside but weak in substance. Many do not seek the heart of God.
What is Jesus teaching? We may read and study the word but our relationship is shallow because we do not allow conviction in our hearts and change. We still behave the same way as before by reacting easily when given advice. Childish reaction is not God’s way. 1 Corinthians 13:11. His word is not deeply impregnated in our hearts yet we justify by saying we have relationship with God. We fail to allow Him to speak to us.
Jesus required us to have full devotion to God and whatever we do is to manifest God’s glory and not for our reputation or to lure others to our ministry.
I have been having vision of trees with a lot of leaves and the pot full of water. I knew that God is speaking to the church. The pot of water represent that a lot of knowledge of the word is poured out but people are not getting into deep study of what is taught, neither impart what they learn so that they grow together to bear fruit. To bear fruit we need to build relationship with God on the foundation of the word for us to grow and to help others to grow as well. The leaves on the trees on the other hand showed that growth must come with fruit.
We need now to pray for manifestation of working of miracles and healing of today’s health crisis. Miracles can only occur by God’s mercy and goodness as we pray for repentance with a whole heart and cleanse ourselves. We must not forget that this is the year where God is shouting to His people to purify themselves. This is why after Jesus cursed the fig tree because it does not bear fruit, He adjourned with the disciples to cleanse the temple. Mark 11:15-17. In today’s context it’s cleansing ourselves for our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:19.
We need to seek the Lord for anointing to discern the times we are in as it is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of God. Hebrews 10:31. We need to do the will of God in confidence which has a great reward. V36. It’s time to go and bear fruit. God be praised!
