7 “For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its tender shoots will not cease.
Today’s Inspiration: Our God is a loving God but we must not take grace for granted. Like a tree we have hope. Even if we are chopped off we will sprout again and the new shoots will not fail. Its roots may grow old and its stumps die yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant. Job 14:7-9.
Though His love is unconditional, He also disciplines us for our own good. As God’s children we always have hope in Him. In His time He will deliver us from bondage. We are called and empowered to blossom not for adversity. We are called to be a disciple who is always led by the spirit to obey His commands. When storms come we are able to calm them and after the storm what a breakthrough it is.
Exhortation is good nice to the ears but it’s only for temporal comfort. God desires us to have spiritual penetration for conviction of hearts and consequently transformation and maturity. Character formation in us is always at the heartbeat of God. He requires humility, gentleness, meekness, total surrender and submission but alas! Many could not enter into spiritual maturity because the word they read and sermons they hear even the still small voice are ignored and not spiritually penetrated deep into our hearts. God requires spiritual penetration.
Throughout scripture God disciplines but delivers. May God’s blessing be upon you today. The Lord is an unchangeable God. Has He spoken and not performed? Remember your humble beginnings and be thankful.
