2 Corinthians 2:14
14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
Today’s Inspiration: ‘What can be greater than mom’s love’ was the title of the speaker Rev Margaret Seaward gave at our mother’s day celebration in the community. ‘ She shared a story of a dramatic experience where her sister was at the mercy of the Japanese during the war in China and she cried out for her mom to help and the answer given by her mom was that mom and dad could not help. Only Jesus can. Call upon the Lord and you will be saved. Our prayers bear no fruit till it was God’s time for intervention. Only God can convict the heart of the enemies to let go. Without God opening our heart, we cannot be transformed. The victory the Lord Jesus purchased for us must run through the veins of the people of God. We are called to walk triumphantly in the name of Jesus over the works of darkness. 2 Corinthians 2:14. So darkness cannot thrive when we walk with God. Amen.
We are called to be separate from the world and be set apart for the Lord. God’s principles through the church must surpass that of the world but today the church has adopted worldly principles of success. Success is not measured by money nor by size but by eternal standards. When darkness enters, the people scatters and the building collapsed. Only eternal principles sustained a soul. Looking at the world today, God is ready to judge the world of her evil deeds. By God’s mercy His fury does not come like a flood but when time comes, He uses the evil to act and those who take part of the sins will be judged with the wicked. Revelation 18:4-5.
Therefore we are not to touch the filthy things so that the Lord will welcome us. 2 Corinthians 6:17.
God’s guidance to the young is not to forget the laws and commandments so that length of days and long life and peace will be added to them. Proverbs 3:1-2. It’s only through God’s mercy and truth that we will find favour and be highly esteemed in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:3. When truth is written in our hearts and we submit to them, evil cannot enter. To do so, we need to find more time waiting upon the Lord. This is the altar where you die to the importance of self surrender. To prevent burnt out in ministry, our first and foremost task is faithfully to care for the inward fire so that when it is really needed it can offer warmth and light to lost travellers.
A preacher once told me that he was waiting upon the Lord as to the ministry He wants him to do and the answer was ‘My ministry is you that the Father’s purpose will be accomplished in your life’. He was moved with tears. It is then that He knew Father’s love for each one of us. Transformation of life to be Christlike therefore matters greatly to God. This is the purpose of God in your life that the Holy Spirit desires to bring you into, the conformation of His will and transformation of our life to become Christlike. That is the greatest pleasure the Father has. Romans 8:29, 2 Corinthians 3:18. With Christlike character, the enemy has to bow and his deception crushed. Refusal to surrender self to God at the altar will never bring effectiveness to your ministry. God be praised!
