1 Thessalonians 4:7

For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

1 Thes 4.7 God did not call us to uncleanness but holiness. It is important to always check our behaviour and attitude towards others. To attain the best results in life is to have excellent spirit. When you have excellent spirit, you have confidence in the Lord to trust Him in great crisis. To attain this, we need passion.

Jesus always looks for our passion for His righteousness. In His teachings He always stressed about our attitude towards others. The way we treat others will be the way we treat Him.

If we do not have passion for the Lord, and passion in the assignments He gave us our relationship with God is warped. Relationship is developed over the years and its not an overnight affair. To maintain it is a difficult task. It takes like-mindedness to maintain it and it starts with having the mind of Christ.

One cannot have the mind of Christ without being convicted by the Word of God. Many cannot face the realities of life and tried to run away. Adam tried to hide from God because he was disobedient and played the blamegame. When you are guilty, you tend to justify or keep apologising.

People who offend us are those who need help because they are hurting from last wounds especially infancy wounds. All of us do have filthy rags and God wants to heal so that you will have divine health and live life to the fullest.

Why did the disciples have to be in prayer in the Upper Room waiting for the Holy spirit? They need to be healed of the trauma of orphan spirit before they can be endued with Holy Spirit’s power to take great exploits of God. Jesus have given the assurance that he will not leave them as orphans. They need to be cleansed before the Holy spirit can descend upon them and the spirit of Jesus to take abode in their hearts.

We need to be healed of our past defilement through sanctification of the truth. 2 Cor 7:1 Sanctification is setting apart to be holy so Jesus spoke to the Father to sanctify his disciples and those yet to come to the kingdom. John 17:17.

So as a born again believer we dont walk as the world does. Rom 12:2 We speak words of edification, exhortation and comfort. We come into oneness fellowshipping with one another like the disciples did. Acts 2.42 and 2.47. The world needs Jesus but they want to see Christlikeness in us and our testimony. We exist to worship Him in holiness and reverent fear of the Lord and to glorify Him.

May you have the knowledge of the truth that you might be set free. John 8.32. Have a blessed weekend!
