13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness;and He relents from doing harm.
Today’s Inspiration: Today God is again speaking to rend your heart not your garments. Joel 2:13 Externally we look good and well addressed in eminence and dignity but inwardly God still sees a heart of fear, anxiety and insecurity. You say you are no longer angry but deep down you have not forgiven and cannot forget the event that is hurting. If you have not forgotten, you have not forgiven. Forgiveness is an eternal value.
Adopt God’s divine attribute to your life -graciousness, mercy, slow to anger and of great kindness so that He could release a blessing. Forgiveness touches God’s heart and attracts a blessing. Verse 14. Forgiveness is a command of the Lord. Jesus forgives even His persecutors as he uttered His last words before He commits His spirit to the Lord.

Have we changed our lives since we have been adopted as a child of God? Has His word convicts us to change? Are we giving ourselves to the Lord grudgingly or cheerfully? Your behaviour, attitude and motive towards others will describe who you are.
Unless you know who you are, you cannot ask people who you are. Jesus knows who He is and probes this question to His disciples. Matthew 16:13. God looks at the inward part. 1 Samuel 16:7.
