20 So I answered them, and said to them, “The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build, but you have no heritage or right or memorial in Jerusalem.”
Today’s Inspiration: Many a time our past failures are being used by the enemy as weakness against us. It is essential to be discerning in the building of kingdom ministry. We need to always inquire from the Lord. For every victory, the enemy will slam us with threats or intimidation. Like Nehemiah, we should always cling to God’s promise in Nehemiah 2:20 the God of heaven will give us success.
Apostle Paul exhorted us to quench the fiery darts of the enemy with the shield of faith a spiritual weapon of warfare that comes with God’s mighty power. Ephesians 6:16.
All we have to do is to pray like Nehemiah. He prayed that God will turn the insults back on the enemy’s heads. Nehemiah 4:4-6. After prayer you leave the issue to God and continue with your assignment without fear. God will never allow anyone to frustrate His plan so do not fear. Nehemiah 4:16. Have faith in what you are doing is according to God’s plan. As a precaution against future attacks, have intercessors for your work and as we work we must pray so that the work will not be hampered as well. Verses 16-18. Nehemiah always pray for God to remember him with favour for all that he has done for His people. Nehemiah 5:19. Then he went ahead and declare that nothing the enemy is saying is happening. They are just making it up. Nehemiah 6:8.
The final threat the enemy will be their hypocrisy to save your life by another strategy. Apostle Paul cautioned us to be discerning and not to be ignorant of satanic device. 1 Corinthians 2.11. Confront the enemy like Nehemiah did. If you don’t, you will be ensnared. Let the Lord be your confidence. Proverbs 3:26. Nehemiah saw through the scheme and prayed that God should remember what the enemy has done to intimidate him and enticing him to disobey His commandment. Unless you are a priest you cannot enter the House of God. Nehemiah 6:10-14.
The battle belongs to the Lord not us. Exodus 14:14, 2 Chronicles 20:17. He always asked us to be calm in the event of attacks but to watch and pray and be led by the spirit always. Never be enticed by the enemy. Success in executing God’s plans comes with God-oriented prayers, faith and confidence in the Lord. So the rebuilding of the temple was completed in 52 days. Verse 15.
