19 Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Today’s Inspiration: At this time of global turmoil, the community needs a voice of comfort from the very heart of God that will assure them that there is hope and not fear. Comforting words like, ‘He is doing a new thing on this Earth in this decade for His glory and not to fear,’ certainly is possible to bring people out of distress. Isaiah 43:19 assures us this morning that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Our daily voice of inspiration is a weapon of warfare for you to be used to outwit Satan if you could catch the significance of it. Comfort in biblical context has the sole purpose of healing the inner man, healing of memories, healing of sadness and depression. Hence our Father me healing encompasses this truth that set people free. John 8:32. We live in a world of broken lives, broken homes and broken ambition and failure in business and ministry. People do not need sympathy or pity, they need healing of their inner man who have been victimised many times unjustly. This is the sole objective of our daily inspiration.
Today He is assuring us that we should not fear as God’s people as He is the Lord and the Savior from beginning of time to eternity and besides Him there is no Savior or God like Him. What He does, no one can Reverse it. Before Him, there was no God formed. V11-13. People in distress come to church for voice of inspiration which encompasses three words- edification, exhortation and comfort. God wants His church to be strong and mature in spiritual matters. He wants His church to be alive and powerful. These three gifts of inspiration were designed for the purpose.
Knowing Him personally enables us to hear Him personally the voice of inspiration required by His people. John the Baptist admitted frankly he does not know Jesus as he announced to his hearers in John 1:33. He knows him only externally and this is why he still have doubt at the end of his life asking his disciples when he is about to be executed, to ask Jesus if He is the Son of God who has come to save the world. Matthew 11:2.
This shows he knows Jesus only in the literal sense. Even though he hears clearly the voice of God that the one he baptised with the Holy Spirit descending on him when he baptised Him in water is the Son of God and will be the one who will baptise them in the Holy Spirit, he still have doubt. Deception and doubt normally set in when we are in the midst of testing. This is why Isaiah wrote in his book in Isaiah 42:20 that people see many things but do not observe, opening the ears but do not hear. Hence reading the Bible cannot renew your mind because you are only reading on the surface. Meditating and reflecting the purpose and provoking your spirit with what you are reading will enable you to hear the purpose why God is inspiring you with the timely word for the day. We need a personal conviction of the word of prophecy recorded in the Bible that was written about Jesus from the beginning of the book to the end. It also exposed your ignorant thinking, clear your doubts and heart sins as well as empowers you to know your spiritual condition that requires change to help you to grow in the knowledge and fear of the Lord. God knows us by name and calls us personally to be His witness. Isaiah 43:11.
Jesus requires us to hear Him daily. This is why it was recorded in John 4:42 that the Samaritans told the woman of Samaria whom Jesus touched and revealed as the Messiah at his conversation with her in the well, that they believed not because of what she told them but because they have heard Him personally and their understanding opened that Jesus is indeed the Savior of the world. As Christ told Peter the Revelation of Him as the Savior is what His Father revealed to Peter and not flesh and blood. Matthew 16:17. Scriptures meant nothing to us until we know deeply what God is speaking to us in the scriptures we are reading.
We can preach the word yet people though saved are not converted till a fresh Revelation of the Lord opened their hearts. This is why Spiritual growth and conversion varies from soul to soul. The more intellectual you are the slower the conversion because your heart is filled with too much knowledge that shut the door out to the spirit until the day of testing where God softened the hearts and made them realise there is no answer except Jesus. Jesus already explained this in his parable of the growing seed in Mark 4:26-29. Our spiritual Awakening and growth is a process. Until the love of God (John 5:42) and abiding relationship with God is in us, (John 15:4) we will not Spiritually grow, more so Revelations of God to us. Is He your priority in life?
How many times have we been hurt as we desire to receive honor from men! Jesus’ way is not to receive honor from men for He knows all men and by now we have some knowledge of men’s hearts, but instead seek honor from God. John 5:41, 44.
Therefore whatever we do is not for the glory of men but a demonstration of God’s power and for the glory of God. Colossians 3:23. You are only a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to you for others to fulfill the word of God. God be praised. Colossians 1:25.
