James 4:17 :
17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
Today’s Inspiration: People’s priority is not reading the word of God for fear of conviction by the Holy spirit. Reading God’s word without reflection against our spiritual condition will be of no benefit to us. James 4:17 .Now therefore to Him who know how to do good yet does not do it, to whom is sin. God’s standard is so high that we cannot afford to stumble even in one point. If we do, we are guilty of all. Verse 10. Faith without works do not benefit anyone. It is dead. James 2:20.
For instance the command to love one another might bring bad memories of an injustice done to you. This caused a lot of strong emotions to surface not to mention a host of judgemental observations. Have you realised that daily we are dealing with life’s little irritations? Most of the broken relationships are due to each other craving for control. Instead of speaking to control to stop, we are allowing the control to destroy our happiness.
We are not perfect beings. All of us have flaws no matter how experienced, how capable or how qualified we are. If we wait till everything is perfect to do a certain task, you can wait forever. Perfectionism is a root of rejection where you need to be performance-oriented to please everyone. Jesus chose unschooled fishermen and those poor in the spirit to disciple them. The 3 years of infilling of the Holy Spirit and impartation of His gifts change the world.
Be determined not to allow your family ‘s irritations change your attitudes or behaviour but instead be strong and decisive to change according to what God’s word convicts. Be strong and decisive and learn to say NO to things that don’t align with God’s word. There are those between 48 or even 60 years still under control of moms. It is this control that imprison you. King Saul out of intense jealousy and anger was all out to destroy David for fear of competition. 1 Samuel 18:7-12.
People are sick today because of control and inability to strike a balance in life thereby causing imbalance in the chemicals in your body. What happens outside of you happens first inside. 2 Corinthians 4.16. Things we have seen are temporal but things not seen are eternal. Verse 18. It is important to renew your inward man for outward health.
