1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
Today’s Inspiration: The spiritual war gets fiercer as we draw nearer to the end of this age. It’s not a time to panic but to wait on the Lord in silence to hear Him as we abide in His dwelling place. We can only fight this deadly crisis through seeking the Lord for wisdom and Revelation. I am surprised that God wants us to teach on spiritual gifts as weapons of warfare in the next module in the school of the Holy Spirit as we almost complete teaching the last two modules with a view to raise up Ezekiel and Joel armies. I have been pondering on the awesomeness of God and being able to hear even more accurately in this vital time of waiting upon Him. In fact at this time God is preparing us for even more severe wars to come. What we see is only the tip of the iceberg. It is clear that the prophetic word calling us to take on the spirit of purity against evil forces has never been so urgent as now. The Lord is the light of our salvation. The Lord is the strength of our life. So why is there fear in the hearts of believers? Psalm 27:1. We cannot fight spiritual war with fear in our spirit which is from the demonic realm. Miracles can only be manifested through faith even as small as a mustard seed. Jesus specified very clearly calling people to take faith as a weapon to fight spiritual wars. We are given spiritual gifts as weapons of warfare and we need to use them to win this war. The spiritual gifts are all given to us in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 but in verse 7 it is written that the manifestation of the spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.
This means that as we operate the gifts given to us especially giftsof faith, healing and the working of miracles, the spirit will manifest His creative miracles as He wills. V11 it is written that the same spirit who distributes the gifts, works all things which means the spirit will manifest in all circumstances as we take a step of faith. In the light of today’s crisis, a total devotion to God and pursuit of Holiness and godliness is necessary. As children of God, we need to be violent in our faith against the spiritual forces. The violent in faith can take the kingdom of God. Matthew 11:12.
Praising God will manifest His power. Next we need the manifestation of the spirit. The gift of faith usually works in unison with the gift of the working of miracles. We truly need to pray for Dunamis power to fall upon us to transform our faith to extraordinary faith. This gift will give us solid Rock of boldness to believe for the impossible by declaring what is not, to exist. Romans 4:17. It’s only the gift of faith together with the gift of working of miracles that caused the power of God to instantly shoot through to energise us and strengthen our body.
It’s amazing that in Acts 13:1-8 the bones in the body of the lame enables him to walk and leap in v7-8.
It’s only the gift of faith working together with the gift of miracles that enables us to overrule the fear, the panic and unbelief. When Jesus went to resurrect Lazarus, he was surrounded by mockers and doubters but that did not diminish His faith. It’s this faith that empowers Him to overrule doubters’ unbelief that caused the working of miracles to manifest.
One word He spoke to the audience was in John 11:40 that If they believe they will see The glory of God. After that he prayed in confidence that God always hears Him in v41 and Lazarus was resurrected after He called forth what is not into being. And he was resurrected to life. We must operate our gift of faith in a way that it transcends all understanding even transcending the doubt of our audience. Whilst we have to take steps in the natural to protect ourselves, we must pray violently in faith and allow our faith to transcend beyond even the doubt of unbelievers for the Holy Spirit to manifest His miracles.
We need to believe that Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8. We need to believe with all our heart that He works miracles today too to confirm His word to us in Mark 11:23-24 and with signs and wonders in Mark 16:20.
May this word be a blessing to you to trust God fully for yourself and your family. Jesus promised us that we will do greater works as He is going to His Father in John 14:12. Do you believe His word? We are told to focus on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith who is sitting at the right hand of the Father in heaven in Hebrews 12:2, and to meditate the word of God day and night to purify and cleanse ourselves daily in Psalm 1:2-3. There is power in His word Hebrews 1:3.
As we meditate on His wonderous works and wait upon Him in silence, we become fused in oneness with Him and draw from His exceeding greatness of His power to work creative miracle to wipe out the virus from this land. Apostle Paul exhorts us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might in Ephesians 6:10. This great power is given to us to be witness to His Resurrection. As we wait upon the Lord more, the gift of faith and working of miracles are empowered. Acts 4:13, 31 &33.
May God’s great grace be upon us at this time of trial. May we be a blessing to the Nations with the wisdom God had given to us. God be praised.
Reader’s feedback-confirmation of God’s word: “I am very shocked to read from your devotion today. Since last year Sept (Jewish new year) I seek the Lord for a verse in the year 2020. He revealed it to us immediately the next day through His amazing way. It was to Fix our eyes on Jesus. The author and perfecter of our faith. Recently during my quiet time, the verse “meditate on the law of the Lord day and night” DAY and NIGHT just kept repeating itself. Joshua and Psalm 1. So you know how excited I was after I read your devotion!” -Elizabeth Tan.
