2 Corinthians 1:20-21
20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God.
Today’s Inspiration: If you believe in Jesus then you would believe all that were written in the scripture which came from the mouth of God. No matter how many promises God has made in the Bible they are Yes in Christ and so through Him the Amen is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 1:20-21.
There is only one God the Father from whom all things came and for whom we live and there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ Himself through whom all things came and through whom we live. 1 Corinthians 14:6. Throughout scripture it is God Lord. Even Jesus’ disciple Philip has no knowledge of who our Heavenly Father is and asked Jesus to show the Father and that will be enough for them. Jesus answered” Don’t you know me, Philip even after I have been with you for a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” John 14:8-9. May your eyes be enlightened today of who God is and who our Heavenly Father is. V10 even if you don’t believe at least believe in the evidence of the miracles themselves. Who can open up the Red Sea to deliver the Israelites? God our Father. Who can calm the raging storm? Jesus Christ our Lord. Aren’t they both one the Father? May your spiritual eyes be opened this morning to the deeper truths of God.
We cannot be carnally minded when we are in Christ. We need to be deeply rooted in the cross and the word of God. By being cross-centred we are given the power to transcend the world. Whatever we say must agree to scripture. We cannot say we follow Christ if we do not live in the revealed truth before God and man. Are we world-oriented or word-oriented? The world tells us there is no cure. His word says ‘I will restore you to health and healing and reveal to you abundant peace and truth’ in Jeremiah 33:6. Which would you believe? Word or the world?
We should base our decision on scripture and not on human opinion but many people today are running to man for opinion and paying them handsome sum for opinion. The word is God as stated in John 1:1. The word is scripture Himself. God created the world by His word. Who do you believe?
We often underestimate our human tendency to over- estimate ourselves. King Nebuchadnezzar over-estimated himself and boasted about the Babylon he built. As soon as he proclaimed that, God inflicted him with insanity and sent him to the jungle for 7 years living as a mad man. Daniel 4:28-34. God has sovereignty to depose kings and people in authority. At the end king Nebuchadnezzar said that God does whatever He pleases with the powers of heaven and the people of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to Him ‘what have you done?’ Daniel 4:35. All His ways are just and those who walk in pride He is able to humble. V37.
May we always wear with us the mantle of humility!
