25 They shall drive you from men, your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen. They shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.
Today’s Inspiration: Are we building our ministry or business for God or are we building His Kingdom? King Nebuchadnezzar was given an interpretation of his dream by Daniel regarding his removal as king. He can only be reinstated when he acknowledge the most High God as his sovereign Lord who rules the universe. Daniel 4:25-27. After 12 months when nothing happens, he got complacent and declared that he had built the mighty kingdom of the great Babylon by his own mighty power and for His own majesty. Verses 29-30. Whilst the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven to strip off his authority for seven years till he acknowledges that God rules over the kingdom of men and gives authority to anyone He wills. Verses 31-32.
This is a warning for all those people who refused to boast of the Lord as commanded by Apostle Paul.
It is the same situation today as of then. People refused to acknowledge Jesus as their messiah or their yoke will be easy. We build up anxiety when the coping is tough instead of uplifting the issues in prayer. It is only through prayer that events can turn to our favour. Philippians 1:19. Whatever has happened to you is for the advancement of the Gospel. Verse 12. The good work He began in you will have to be carried it on to completion until the day of Christ. Philippians 1:6.
We are not always fit to receive what we ask for. Persistence in prayer and not give up is the Truth. Luke 18:1. Prayer is not optional in a Christian’s life. You can accomplish nothing without prayer. Pray always that you will not yield to temptation. Prayer is the staying power of every Christian and indispensable for success. We are directed to be persistent in prayer. This is His sovereign will.
Do not give up in the face of pressure from injustice, mistreatment, misunderstanding and personal failure. God used these difficult times to prune you to be the person you were formed to be Christ-like. Pruning is painful but it is for your revelation of who the Lord is. Knowing the heartbeat of God empowers your walk with God in ways you cannot fathom.
May you internalise His reign in your hearts for a better hope and a future. Walk into your destiny!.
