15 For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” But you would not…
Today’s Inspiration: We may have a lot of fear and anxiety even insecurity more than ever because the world has come to a crisis without a solution and each day the news are getting adverse. Yet God assured us not to fear but to be still and have confidence. These are the two keys that will give us inner strength and courage to move on notwithstanding the circumstances but to seek Him. However many times we are not at rest despite His word of assurance. Isaiah 30:15.
It is no wonder that Isaiah records in 6:9 that we keep on hearing but do not understand God’s purpose. We keep on seeing but not perceiving correctly.
The present situation is like that of Isaiah’s time where God assured them through Isaiah not to fear or be faint-hearted for they are but stub of smoking firebrands because of the fierce anger of the evil one, who is more fearful than before because his end is drawing near. Smoking firebrands are hottest when fire is dying out. Isaiah 7:4-5.
The Lord told Isaiah at that time that these threats shall not stand nor will it come to pass. V7. Just as in Isaiah’s time, it’s a sign of His first coming to bring good news of His kingdom to the world, what is happening now is also a sign of His second coming. Prior to His coming, God’s people must prepare their hearts of righteousness to welcome Him. We need to understand fully what the Kingdom is and who will qualify to be subjects of the Kingdom to be established on this Earth with Christ the King and ruler of the Kingdom. To do so, you need to study deeply what the Kingdom is.
His coming is not for Israel alone but for Judah and the whole world to establish the Kingdom on Earth. Isaiah 9:6-7. His kingdom shall be no end. It’s a majestic kingdom different from the world. This is reinforced by Daniel in his night vision in Daniel 7:27-28. This was promised to Abraham in Genesis 17:6 that He will make Nations of Abraham and Kings shall come from Him.
What did Psalm22:27-28 say? God revealed to David that all the end of the Earth shall remember to turn to the Lord and all the families of the Nations shall worship before Him. For the Kingdom does not belong to anti-Christ nor Satan but the Lord’s and He rules over all Nations. Who is the Lord? Revelation 19:6 He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords as written on His robe and on His thigh. Those who go down to the dust shall bow before Him, even he who cannot keep himself alive. Psalm 22:29.
So to whom shall you fear? Who the people worship is the quality of life within the nation. As His people who worship Him, Jesus says ‘You shall have abundant Life but do not be deceived by the devil.’ John 10:10.
God is revealing the spiritual condition of the hearts of the Nations through this crisis. Psalm 25:19 Our eyes need to be fixed towards the Lord for only He can pluck our feet from the net. This means in His timing He will free us from this bondage of covid-19 and we will dwell once again in prosperity and grant us peace. His promises will be fulfilled. Let’s pray in haste to hasten His coming that His kingdom be established on Earth with those God glorified at Resurrection. God be praised.
