12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
Today’s Inspiration: God always wants to work in us both to do His will and to do for His own pleasure. Philippians 2:13. In the earlier verse He told us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. What does He mean? It means we have to continue what we have begun as a result of His calling. Though salvation gift is free, we must do our part to bear responsibility to live God’s way of life. Genesis 1:27 He created us in His image to mirror His Divine attributes. We are to glorify Him by our conduct. Life stories were written in the Bible to show that we ought to live a life to glorify God.
The grace of God is granted to us not merely to forgive our sins as we forgive others but grace covers every aspect of the salvation process and everything we have been given. We have an obligation to mirror and reflect the Holiness of God.
Till we reach the darkest hour of the night where we have nothing to fall on, that we appreciate the grace God has given us. Man always feel they deserve something from God yet they chose not to walk God’s ways because His ways are not an easy path to tread. How many people have admitted their need of a Savior only when sin had battered them to despair bringing them to bondage, causing them to cry out to God in despair for Deliverance. As God warned Cain in Genesis 4:7 that sin is crouching at the door, how many times have we not heeded the warning but opened the door to the enemy only to find that it so crippled us that we wonder when God will deliver us.
It’s time to know the seriousness of sin and God’s Holiness especially this is the year of voice of purity. We cannot afford to fail to see the extent of purity God requires.
The righteous shall live by faith. Obedience is the key to open heavens. God be praised!
