2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Today’s Inspiration: How sensitive and discerning are we in the spirit? 1 Chronicles 12:18 declares success to you and success to those who help you for God is always there to help us even with those who help us. This is a very important truth to apply to our life. We cannot focus on success if we always focus on old self. We must take on our true self, the sanctified and cleansed self, one who applies the truth, the transformed self. The old has passed away. We have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. If we keep focusing on old self, we tend to shun others, even those who have been genuinely and spiritually directed by the Lord to help us. We might miss God in the process.

Unless we let go of our false self, which we took on during our journey of growing up years, we will not be able to discern God’s presence and hence unable to get into communion with God through contemplative prayer intended to increase our intimacy with God.

When we let go of our false self, it is a place of submission where we place our being at God’s disposal as we request His work of purification. Only when we are in touch with the true self, can we facilitate an abiding state of union with God.

There is a co-relation between the inner knowing, repentance on our part and revelatory way of God’s love. Relax, let go and know that He is God. Psalm 46:10.

As we continue our journey of life with our true self, truth becomes illuminated inside of us. Our false self of dwelling in guilt, sin, failures, hurts and wounds tend to distract us from our calling to forge ahead. This hinders the illumination of truth in our hearts. We should carry all these unnecessary false self to the Lord and relax resting in the Lord for next strategy. David and Joshua could emerge as spiritual champions because they let go of the false self. 1 Peter 5:7.

If frustration and distractions start to pressure us, we need to shut them out. We need to visualise the reality of our future by declaring them into reality, that we may continue with our journey to our prosperous future. God be praised!.
