31 But as for you, stand here by Me, and I will speak to you all the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments which you shall teach them, that they may observe them in the land which I am giving them to possess.’
Today’s Inspiration: The Lord’s desire is for us and our descendants to fear Him and keep all His commandments that all maybe well with us and our children forever. Deuteronomy 5:31. Jesus says the greatest commandments are the commandments to love Him and to love one another. Matthew 22:37-40. All these shall be imparted diligently to our children and to make sure they remember all the statutes and their speech be that of the oracles of God and not to conform with the world. Deuteronomy 6:6-8. You are not chosen because you are more in number but the least of all peoples and also because of God’s oath to our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Deuteronomy 7:7-8.
We are called to make intentional investments of our time, talent and treasure. All that God provided for us is not for our own pleasure but for the glory of His name and empowering others. We have to invest time and energy in bringing out the best in others. Therefore do not be weary or disheartened in planting good seeds for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you have planted is coming. Galatians 6:9.
At times you can hardly believe that you can achieve the goal as the assignments are far too difficult. We must not forget what Jesus taught us. Fishes can only be caught in teams. It is much more productive for ten people to fish together than one person doing ten people’s work.
What the head of the team can do is to lay down the principle and show the way to go. It’s up to the individual in each team to work with the Holy Spirit on their spiritual life and to act on the principle to achieve the goal. You must know what your team is good at and team up with more people with complimentary gifts to achieve the objective. By so doing, our river within us is energised, vitalised and kept alive. If you stand alone and fret going into self-pity that you cannot connect with others and hence not able to accomplish what you set out to do, you are one which remains in the pond with stale, dirty muddy water.
This is why the Bible says we must go in two’s and gather together in groups that our river will flow and we be refreshed daily that make us clean. Acts 2:42. We must be a team that just be there for each other. Even if you are working in a workplace, you must consider your workplace a contributing field as we continue to serve other friends. Our whole life revolves around our calling to be a blessing being there for each other and praying consistently.
Our prayer today: Father make us understand how to love people including those we cannot love, without judging them and help us to include them in all that we are engaged in. In Jesus’ name, amen.
