26 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
27 and do not give the devil a foothold.
Today’s Inspiration: Every word of God is pure. He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Proverbs 30:7. Though the world may shake, His word stands forever.
You may not understand the cycle of problems you are going through. However, do not despair. God has more in store for you.
God’s word speaks louder than the devil’s accusation against you that caused you to freeze. Like King Hezekiah, we need not worry about the ‘Assyrian army’ but to place our trust in His power to deliver us from all our troubles. To do that, let us stand on the promises in Psalm 121 and make it our daily prayer. It acknowledges who He is and His watchfulness over our coming in and going out and preservation of our soul from the evil one.
Whatever wounds and hurts we may have, even our frustrations, let us surrender them to God totally that He might turn our mess into a message that brings glory to His name. Do not allow Satan to have a stronghold over your mind and emotions. Any place in our life where we have allowed Satan to reign can be considered a stronghold. Ephesians 4:27 commands us not to allow the devil a foothold or authority over our mind and emotions or even over our families. Our battle has always been between the ears and that’s where our mind is. This is why Apostle Paul tells us to guard our heart and mind in Philippians 4:6 by being at peace and to renew our mind in Romans 12:2. The willingness to be transformed will lead Jesus to reign over our hearts and our mind. Let the love of God in you reign forever. God be praised.
Prayer: May the God of peace sanctify us completely and may our whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who called us is faithful and just and will not leave us nor forsake us. In Jesus name Amen.
