Matthew 6:33

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Today’s Inspiration: Jesus taught us to first seek the Kingdom of God first and His righteousness then all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33. This was repeated in Hebrews 1:8-9 that righteousness is what we should love as it placed us above our peers with God’s anointing with the oil of joy. Abraham was credited as righteous and given a position of Father of the nations because of his utmost faith and works in God. Yesterday we spoke about righteousness is works and faith working together to be justified. So pay emphasis to God’s righteousness because righteousness is the sceptre of God’s kingdom which is the sceptre of authority for you as you work towards God’s righteousness and abandon self righteousness.

Pride and arrogance has no place in the Kingdom of God. Neither has self-righteousness. These are wickedness that God hates in v9.

Man are created to have communion with God with full reliance on Him. But man prefers to be master of their lives. When we are born again, we no longer have control of our lives but Christ in me is living and working in us and through us. Galatians 2:20. Many have been baptised and born again yet even 20 years down the road shows no true transformation.

It is dreadful to be under God’s wrath. The Israelites’ rebellion and arrogance against the authority of Moses, were allowed mercy for a time with Moses’ intercession, but at the end when they continue with their ways, they were destroyed in the desert and miss the Promised land.

How many rich arrogant celebrities, professionals and business people lost their lives through Cancer? Pride, arrogance and self righteousness do not pay. If you are facing severe trials, then you need to reflect on the several warnings by your inner voice, God’s voice in the Bible and man’s warning or counsel, which you did not take heed. Get into true repentance and make a covenant to change. Divine exchange is essential. All messages heard through sermon or read through books, articles and Bible will be of no value to you unless you hear these combined with faith. Hebrews 4:2.

Faith without belief is dead. Belief is an act of faith.

Have faith in God and the prophets and your healing shall be established. 2 Chronicles 20:20.
