27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death.
Today’s Inspiration: Yesterday seems to be a day of breakthrough as God reveals Himself to call out to God’s elect to fear the Lord, which is a foundation of life to keep them from the snares of death. Proverbs 14:27. There is an urgent call to fear the Lord because with it, comes the strengthening of the inner man that will give us stronger confidence of God providing a refuge for God’s people.
Let’s remove darkness from our eyes and instead let His light enters our eyes which rejoices our heart. Proverbs 15:30. Our eyes and our ears are gateways to our thought and our heart. Therefore let us seek the Lord to purify our heart. Our shutdown in our homes is like the days of Noah where his family was spared because he feared the Lord and his faith credited him as righteous. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8..
What happens in ancient days is again recurring but in greater measure. Because of his covenant to Abraham and Noah, the people on the Earth is not totally destroyed. These are the days of purification in preparation of His second coming as John wrote to his readers that we the Elect should purify ourselves for He is pure. 1 John 3:2-3 for He is about to reveal Himself for all to see and we must not miss the time when He comes for when He comes, we will be changed to His likeness but till He comes in His glory to bring us with Him, John prepares us to be pure.
All His elect are to be holy for He is holy and it’s a mandate and not an option. A Christian cannot afford not to be holy because He is holy. 1 Peter 1:16. But with Holiness comes godliness. To practise godliness, we must first pursue Holiness. Peter tells us that we are redeemed for a purpose and called to living a holy life. How can we be a royal priesthood and a holy nation if pursuit of Holiness is an option. 1 Peter 2:9. He has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. What is light? Light is Holiness for God is light. 1 John 1:5. We are called out of darkness to be His special people and to proclaim His praises. How can we accomplish this without being holy to draw closer to the Lord to hear what He wants us to do?
We are created in His image. Genesis 1:27. We are to be like Him and that is Godlikeness. So let’s pursue what is right in this season so that we will emerge with more power of the Holy Spirit when this testing comes to an end. During Noah’s time they were locked up for 150 days before the waters subsided even though the rain on Earth was 40 days and nights. Genesis 7:12, 24. Noah and his family thought they were forgotten and we are clueless what is happening now too and wonder whether God remembers His righteous ones. But God remembers Noah and everyone including every animal and living thing in the ark. Genesis 8:1.
This is the season of breaking the carnality of man and it’s time to pray for God’s grace to the submission of His will. Throughout scriptures after a great calamity comes God’s mercy for harvest for God has promised Noah not to destroy mankind from Earth with one calamity but whilst Earth remains, seedtime and harvest time shall not cease. Genesis 8:22. After the covenant God blessed Noah and His sons to be fruitful and multiply. Genesis 9:1. The same occurrence is over every calamity in biblical history.
Let’s pray that Nations leaders do a reflection on the purpose of God at this time to show His glory and to church leaders the next move towards a great harvest ahead of us. God be praised!
