9 And He said, “Go, and tell this people:‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand;
Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.”
Today’s Inspiration: When the disciples asked Jesus why he was speaking to the people in parables, He explained that Revelation will only be given to those who understand. And he quoted the first word that God spoke to Isaiah immediately he had open vision of Him who sits on the throne. Isaiah 6:9, Matthew 13:14-15. It’s unbelief that hinders us to receive Revelation for healing. Blessed are those who could hear and see. V16. Understanding of the word of the kingdom is very important because if you don’t understand, the enemy will snatch away what is sown in the heart and you will not bear fruit. V19. If we understand we would bear fruit to the extent of 30-fold, 60-fold, 100-fold. V23.
All Christians are not to be converts or spectators only but are told to bear fruit. It all depends on your faith and act of obedience. All are to be witnesses of the Gospel sharing the miracles Jesus had done that more may believe and be added to the kingdom. If you bear fruit, you have glorified your Father in heaven. John 15:8. God desires to see his disciples bear fruit. We can bear fruit only when we abide in Him and He in us. V5. If you don’t abide, you are like a withered branch that deserves to be thrown into the fire. V6. You were chosen to bear fruit that lasts and to love one another. V16-17.
How vital is an encounter with God! You will not turn from right to left or vice versa. You will not be moved by others but be established. Isaiah 7:9. Isaiah was very confident of himself when he heard the word of the Lord. He never falters and boldly declared the word of the Lord that whatever the enemies have threatened, the threats will not come to pass. He gladly told them that if you do not believe the word, it shall not be established. Isaiah 7:9. This is why some prophecies never come to pass.
King Jehoshaphat on the other hand declared to the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem to believe in God and and they shall be established. Believe in the prophets and they shall prosper. 2 Chronicles 20:20. We just need to stand still and see the Deliverance of the Lord as the Lord is with you. 2 Chronicles 20:16-17.
Our purpose is to give life to people leading them to salvation and freedom. Witnessing is not about us but about Him who cut away our flesh to live in the spirit and to a brand new life with Him. Part of the work of circumcision is to get rid of pride- the attention we have on self. We need to make every effort to pull down stronghold of the flesh especially the fleshy nature of anger, strife and impatience. To do so, we must walk in the spirit, do good and live by the spirit and please the Lord and not to have others look at us but to point them to Jesus. God be praised.
