21 Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing; their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell.
Today’s Inspiration: God is faithful. He never shortchanged His people. For 40 years He sustained them in the desert; they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out nor did their feet become swollen. Nehemiah 9:21. Because of God’s compassion, they were not abandoned. He was their guide through pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night. God even send His spirit to instruct them what to do. Neither did they hunger nor thirst for God’s provision was sufficient. V19-20. What a great and mighty God we serve!
God’s will is for all men to have purity and integrity of heart and a clear conscience. Satan’s will is that you disobey God. He will go all out to work on your weakness to tempt you to go astray from His commands. He is very subtle and many are trapped today and before they realise it, the ball is in their court. To rid of it takes a great effort.
God’s word tells us to keep the demands of the covenant. All His ways are loving and faithful. Psalm 25:10. W cannot waiver when storms come. We have to navigate through knowing that God is faithful and once we weathered the storm, He will bring forth a rainbow. The worst storm ever weathered is by Noah. It takes a year before he could see the land and on his sacrifices God provides a covenant. For every sacrifice we made, God always provides a covenant. God never shortchange us.
We might have wavered in His commandments but it is always His desire to draw us back. James 4:8. Good and upright is He. Psalm 25:8.
Peter’s boat was drifting as he caught no fish that morning. So Jesus stepped into the boat to teach and the multitudes drew near to hear a sermon. After the sermon, Jesus instructed him to navigate into deeper waters. Peter knew that he will never be able to have a catch that morning because fishes comes in shoals only at dawn. Also the right side is against the norm. However at Jesus word, he laid down the nets on the right side and what a marvellous catch far beyond what he has ever caught! He has to call reinforcements and other boats to help. Luke 5:1-7. When Jesus is with you, all your problems are solved in an instant.
Jesus knows our needs even before we ask. Matthew 6:8. Jesus has a purpose to fill every need. For Peter, behind the miraculous provision was to save his soul. V8. What can Jesus do for you this morning and what can you do for Jesus?
What you perceive in your thoughts will be manifested in the natural. What do you perceive this morning? What is impossible with men is possible with God. Luke 18:27. Trust Him with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. Obedience to His word is key. If Peter did not trust His word, he would not have that miraculous provision. We should never allow the enemy to deceive us to waiver. There is only one Judge and one Lawgiver. He is the one who is able to save and destroy. James 4:12. Humble yourself before the Lord and He will lift you up. V10.
