Job 23:12

12  I have not departed from the commandment of His lips;  I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

Today’s Inspiration: Do not depart from the commandment of His lips. Treasure the words of the Lord in the scriptures more than necessary food. Job 23:12. One word of exhortation is that when you declare what you desire, it will be established and light will shine your way. Job 22.28. You will make your prayer and He will answer you. Verse 27. There is no other God who can assure you of such promises. He will perform according to the measure of your belief. It is His sovereignty to test us as He wants us to have His divine attributes but after the testing we shall come forth as gold. Job 23:10.

We have entered a season of increase and all around us is a blessing. He will cause showers of blessing to come down on us and make fruitfulness and increase our portion. We are safe in His hands because He had broken our yoke and delivered us from captivity. Ezekiel 34:26-27. If God is your Lord, how can you not enter into these promises? Our end should be better than the beginning. Job 8.7, Ezekiel 36:11.

Proverbs 13:3 We are cautioned to guard our mouth for he who guards it preserves his life but he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.

Jesus taught that a tree is known by its fruit. He called the religious people brood of vipers and rebuke them for not speaking good things of others. Only a good man will speak Good things for out of the abundance of the heart a man speaks. If you are not speaking good of others, Jesus says it comes from an evil heart. Matthew 12:34. Remember we have to be accountable for all our deeds and especially what we speak on earth. Matthew 12:36. For by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned. Verse 37. We are like a tree who is known by the fruit we produce. Verse 33.

You cannot afford to be complacent. Be alert and watchful. Faith must be followed by action to achieve its desired result. Be doers of the word and not the hearers only or you are deceiving yourself. James 1:22.
