2 Corinthians 10:7
7 Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? If anyone is convinced in himself that he is Christ’s, let him again consider this in himself, that just as he is Christ’s, even so we are Christ’s.
Today’s Inspiration: Whilst shut down in our homes during this circuit breaker season, God wants to remind you not to look at things according to outward appearance. 2 Corinthians 10:7. What we are in words in writing this inspiration, when we are absent from you physically, such we will also be in deed when we are present. V11. Therefore when we glory, let us glory in the Lord for it’s not he who commends himself is approved but whom the Lord commends. V17-18.
How true the word of the Lord is! Sometimes we tend to go overboard boasting of what we have done for the Lord in ministry rather than testifying of what the Lord has done for us in our ministry. We must boast only within the sphere of limits God has appointed us in v13. To bring God’s glory should always be our goal.
As I said yesterday that the thorn in the flesh is God’s way of putting our human nature down lest we exalt ourselves beyond measure for the excellence of Revelations revealed to us by the Lord and lest we are overly confident of success like King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who boasts about his personal achievements. Daniel 4:30. Though we walk in the flesh, we should not war or walk with God according to the flesh. 2 Corinthians 10:3. We are not debtors to the flesh. Romans 8:11. We should bring every of our thought captive to the obedience of Christ that is the word of God. V5.
Our Battle in life is in our mind. Victory in life can only be won by putting confidence in our mind in what we do knowing full well that whatever we do, we do it all for the glory of our Lord. When our mind discerned victory even before we embark on a project, we surely will attain success. Nehemiah declared that the God of Heaven will grant him and his team success and they will arise and build even in the midst of his enemies who will have no heritage nor memorial in Jerusalem. He remains steadfast, only submissive to God’s commission and the wisdom of God because he won victory in rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem Nehemiah 2:20. He completed rebuilding the wall through much wisdom and watchfulness in prayer inspiring confidence and faith to his team along the way, thereby dispelling their fear in the whole rebuilding process and the project was completed in 52 days. He never claimed any credit but handed to Ezra to dedicate the temple to the Lord.
Such should be our attitude my beloved children of God. Win victory in the mind and heart and you will have victory in whatever you do. If you are seeking health, don’t be alarmed of physical pain but keep trusting and boasting in the Lord for health. Change your image in your mind to health. God be praised.
