2 “I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You..
Today’s Inspiration: God can do everything. No purpose of His can be withheld from Him. Job 42:2. God does not want us to hear Him only but to see Him as well. Verse 5.
When you see Him you will be filled with awe that there is no way in which you can do but to repent. Peter on witnessing the fishing miracle Jesus did, marvelled at what Jesus could do which all his years of experience and skill, he could not do. I believe he never have seen such a catch. Neither has he ever not caught a single fish. Neither has he seen fish being caught on the side where there is no fish and in broad daylight where fish would not be caught. Luke 5.
Immediately he acknowledged he was a sinner. Somehow deep in his heart the Holy spirit has revealed to him who Jesus was. It was like 29 years ago when I had encounter with Jesus in two consecutive weeks, I was filled with awe at that encounter. Though I have not yet read the Bible I knew He was a sovereign being as He came out from the cloud.
When Jesus captivated you, there is no way but to surrender your power, your riches, your career to Him. We are predestined by God and chosen only by His grace. Even if you rebel against the call thinking it is tough, you cannot for He can intervene in your life anytime. It is only a matter of time. Ecclesiastes 3:1. When you let God have His way you will have success.
Nehemiah knows the task of rebuilding the tabernacle was tough but he knew he has to answer the call and prayed for God’s mercy, and favour with the king that he might have provision for the tasks ahead of him. He carefully and prayerfully planned and declared the God of heaven will give him success in Nehemiah 2:20. He succeeded in the completion in 52 days despite the enemy’s distraction. He remained focused to God’s commission.
Tasks completed in the flesh is impossible but by the spirit all things are possible. Zechariah 4:6 It is not by might, nor by power but by the Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
