42 saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
Today’s Inspiration: Jesus warned his disciples that we need to be alert and watch and pray throughout the day and don’t take the enemies lightly. You need to recognise your calling and the time of God’s coming to you. Many people are still complacent. Luke 19:42. Its time to take out our sickle for the harvest is ripe.
The enemy always caught us unaware. Verse 44 Jesus taught that if you can’t recognise the time of His coming, the enemy will dash you to the ground, you and your children within your walls. They will not leave one stone unturned. So we need to discern the times of His redemption. However blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Things Jesus do in his days are things even pastors today will not do for fear of not abiding to expectation of others. Galatians 1:10 we cannot be bond servant of Christ if we fear men.
It is important to prepare ourselves for the Day of the Lord is near. We have to live today according to His ways that we might not miss the reward we are working for.
We have to truly prepare a new wine skin to contain the new wine. No man knows the future. We have to watch out that we have no sin of omission nor sin of commission so that we will not lose our reward. The more you draw closer to Him, the stronger you are in the spirit. King Solomon also advised us leaders not to Lord over. When we lord over, we face consequences to our own hurt. Ecclesiastes 8:9. Righteous and non righteous are in God’s hands. God only calls for obedience. If we obey no harm will come to us. Ecclesiastes 8:5.
We must know God’s timing and procedure in order that we will not be ensnared. So be alert but banish anxiety and cast off all your worries so that His word is not choked. Rest in the Lord and draw close to listen.
