7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret—it only causes harm.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Today’s Inspiration: When you commit your ways to the Lord, trust In Him totally. Do not waver and allow the wind to sway you easily. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. Do not fret when men succeed in their ways. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath as they are evil in the eyes of the Lord. Only those who hope and fear the Lord will inherit the land. Psalm 37:7-9.
If you are in debt and you do not repay them, God classified you as wicked and the wicked will vanish from his sight and perish in verse 20. How fearful it is to offend the Lord!
Only the righteous give generously. Verse 22. The Bible speaks again and again about a generous heart. I have never seen those who sow generously forsaken. Their children will be blessed. Verse 28.
Have we many times take advantage of someone’s kindness and cause them injustice? At the end of our race Jesus does not judge us according to our fruit only or what we do for Him. He judged us according to the measure of the fulfilment of His will as well. It’s time to seek the Lord for His will. Forgiveness is such a powerful tool. Can we be as forgiving as Esau who embraced and kissed Jacob for stealing his birthright twice or as forgiving as Joseph who was able to forgive his brothers for selling him to slavery? It is good to reflect if we have totally forgive someone from our heart.
Why was Jacob so interested in the birthright? It means authority and honour and double portion of his father’s inheritance. Secondly a first born is entitled to being a priest of the famiy in offering sacrifices and the honour to wear priestly garments.
Finally it’s a special blessing from the Father. This blessing included the promises made by God to Abraham that will pass from one generation to another. For more details, come and join us in hearing what the spirit of the Lord is saying to the Church this Sunday at 10.30 a.m. about the truth of the loss of your inheritance and the truth about looking at people’s strengths rather than branded them for their dumb decisions. God be praised!
