Revelation 1:2

1  “…and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood…”

Today’s Inspiration: He makes all things new. Revelation 1:5. This is the time of the year to do full sincere repentance so that God can make all things new for us to receive blessings of 2019. Many are not able to inherit promises of God because of hypocrisy and insincere repentance. You must be true to God, to yourself and to others.

Sometimes we wonder why after being born again for so many years, we still cannot overcome anger, self-condemnation and self-hatred which are all due to rejection. 2 Corinthians 5:17 we are a new creation but we still cannot overcome the lust of the flesh. We carry heart sins and hide them in our heart. Saying a sinner’s prayer is not enough. We need to clear up all our filthy rags of the past which are already stale in the refrigerator of our soul and break free from defilement of the spirit and wicked deeds, thought and word. All stem out of sin of idolatry which gives self importance.

Idolatry is putting any person, thing or spirit before God and that includes putting yourself and your ideas ahead of him. Exodus 20:3-6. Apostle Paul termed covetousness as idolatry Ephesians 5:5. Its also in the 10th commandment given by Moses.

The reason why we are unable to have self-control is that we have too much self dignity and rebellion within us. We tend to rebel against God and His delegated authority. 1 Samuel 15:23. There are those who wants to control even the authority over them. God regarded one person controlling another as witchcraft. People tend to control out of fear, guilt, insecurity and terror.

With heart sins we cannot draw near to God nor hear God speak. We need to break free from evil deeds and start to do good deeds. We need to break free from evil thoughts and tongue. Isaiah 1:16-17. Please study and meditate.

Repentance is good for our soul. Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar to break away from sins and iniquities. Isaiah 1:20 and replace with righteousness. If you resist and rebel you will be devoured by the sword. The mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Repentance is more than just mere renouncing and announcing. Repentance is the inward change of attitude n change of outward lifestyle and behaviour.

Generational iniquity is more severe than you imagine and has ruined many generations. If we are to enter into spiritual leadership, inward attitude must be changed to godliness and holiness in the fear of the Lord.
