29 “ Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?.
Today’s Inspiration: God’s word must be like a fire shut up in your bones that brings you into alignment with His agenda. Besides being like a fire, it is also a hammer that breaks the hardness of heart and be replaced with a heart of flesh and a new spirit. Jeremiah 23:29, Ezekiel 36:26. How awesome and powerful is God’s word!
When His word comes in like a fire, all the heart sins are consumed leaving behind only a pure heart to love our Lord. God is a consuming fire and will not give His glory to anyone. Hebrews 12.29. When His consuming fire comes in, the devil has to go on His knees and flee, trembling at the sight of the Blood of Jesus. Has His word hammered your heart so much that you have to surrender your all to Jesus?
Until His word possessed you, there will not be transformation, neither the defiled nature of the past be eradicated. 2 Corinthians 7:1. You will also not be able to move from glory to glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18.
God put us in fiery trial so that He can get our focused attention and our time to commit our communion with Him. Without fiery trials, we live a compromised life from day to day. Isaiah’s destiny was shaped by an encounter with God in an open vision. It is this encounter that made him realise he is a man of unclean lips and he lives among people with unclean lips. His response in repentance led the seraphims to cleanse him with a tong of burning coal. Without this cleansing, he would not have readily responded to the calling of a prophet and daringly pronounced judgement to a sinful nation. Isaiah 6:1-4.
Whether it’s financial lack, broken relationship or a critical illness that bring uncertainties to your mind, you can overcome only by your faith, believing that God can turn the impossible to a miracle for you. Mark 9:23. Until you come to terms with God on your calling, the devil will have you bound. Yet God said He wants to loose your bonds. Isaiah 10:27. When His word comes with much conviction, your yoke will be broken. God is looking for children whose love is not superficial but eternal.
Ministry accomplishments does not mean God’s approval of your life. Success or failure lies in His sovereignty. Jesus values loyalty and love more than your accomplishments. When Jesus multiplies the catch, He questioned Peter of the extent of his love compared to the successful fishing exploits Jesus has done. John 21:15. In short, do we love Him more than the success He has bestowed upon us? If so, he must lead his flock. It’s a call to follow Him to restore and rebuild the fellowship. Jesus took away all the guilt from him for denying Jesus three times.
Are you feeling empty right now wondering what your future maybe. Remember one thing. From John 21:15-17 you know Jesus wants our time of commitment and to focus our energy on His call. Do we have a plan and a goal to fulfil our God given destiny? Are you still sulking and having self-pity going through the motion or arise and shine for Him to fulfil your calling? Let today’s inspiration be like a hammer that hit the hardness of heart and like a fire that burns out your selfish self-centredness. Reacting childishly is not God’s call on your life. 1 Corinthians 13:11. Growing up spiritually is the key.
