17 The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works.
18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.
Today’s Inspiration: When you have fear or anxiety, you tend to flee in resignation to fate. Unlike Nehemiah in my earlier message, a powerful servant of God, Elijah wavers in faith when He heard that Jezebel was after his life. You tend to reason why God did not protect you from trial. This is what Elijah did. 1 Kings 19:10 & 14. It’s all the lies of the enemy that we have taken into our spirit. If we take in the lies, we have entered into a covenant with the devil that needs to be broken before we are set free.
If we were to rise up and fight against the devil, the Father of lies, instead of fear, we will be able to hear God and His purpose for us in this trial. It’s only when we rise up can we hear God who directs us His purpose and next move in our life. V15-18.
After every triumph, the devil is alert and tends to threaten you. But we should know it’s God’s heart to save you always from the pit. You need to know God’s nature before you can resist the enemy.
To heed the voice of God, we need to be still and believe no matter what the circumstances maybe. We need to remember the wonders God has done for us. Psalm 143:5. We need speedy answers which are never forthcoming unless the right attitude towards God is adopted.
Whatever is in our mind, we ought to cling to His promises that He is righteous on all His ways and gracious in all His works. When we call upon Him, in His time He will fulfill the desires of our heart. Psalm 145:17-19. Such is the nature of God. He will never allow our feet to slip. He assured us in His word in Psalm 121:3. He who keeps you will not slumber. God be praised.
