1 Corinthians 13:11
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Today’s Inspiration: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. When we are offended, don’t take it as personal offence against us but rise up and know there is something bigger behind it. Anger or hatred will blind us to the truth or from the reality of what w are about to experience. It maybe a sign for you to mature in Christ after living so long in negative reactions. The Bible says we should not live like a child in an adult body. 1 Corinthians 13:11.
If we are to see anything accurately, we must see through the eyes of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and this will mean you must do through the fruit of the spirit and not from the fruit of strife.
Our victory comes when we learn to love them or people in spite of any wrong done to us. Roman’s 12:21 Do not overcome by evil but overcome evil with good. When we carry the offense to receive sympathy we are in rebellion. Rebellion is to rally people to join with your strife to support your rights like Lucifer who go against God or Korah who go against Moses. They rally an assembly – Lucifer was kicked out of heaven and Korah and his assembly were swallowed up by the earth. Numbers 16.28-33.
Hatred or retaliations or gossip will not resolve other wrongs but gives more power to the devil. There is no room for Christians to be in enmity or hatred of another person, for what they have done. Matthew 12:28. But if I cast out demons by the spirit of God then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Throughout scriptures we are told to love one another especially those in the same faith. Galatians 6:10.
Taking up the cross daily is what Jesus desires us to do. This means we resolve to lay down our lives, our own rights, and maybe our own reputation for the sake of even those who are attacking us.
James 3:13, Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behaviour, his deeds in the gentleness of his wisdom. The wisdom from earth is earthly, natural and carnal but the wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering without hypocrisy. Fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:15, 17-18. To dwell on the offenses is bitterness, the sickness of the heart. Let go and let God. Forgive and not seek sympathy from others. To do so, you are holding yourself and others captive. His ways is for you to reflect and let the Holy spirit illuminate our reflection against the truth. He is the Truth that desires to transform you to His image. God be praised!
