6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
God is a God of miracles. He has done great things. We have to wait patiently for His intervention like Job. See Job 40.
No one can help us except the Lord our God. Trust in His mercy forever. Stay forever as a green olive tree in the House of our God. Psa 52:6. He is faithful and knows His children’s needs. A contrite heart He will not despise.
Christians who ignore the importance of prayer are in serious danger. To do anything to go anywhere even to Christian service, without going to Jesus first is personal and corporate disaster. This was what happened to biblical people in the Bible like conquest of Ai. Missionary efforts may end up as journey of ambition or even entrepreneurship without seeking the Lord.
While the Lord’s commission to make disciples is mandatory, we also must not forget His invitation to thirst for Him in Psa 55 and to come to Him in Mat 11:28-30.
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Its not only for those who are heavy laden only though they needed most. Resting in Him and to give Him our extra baggage in exchange for His yoke which is the truth that is gentle and light is key to right path. Jesus’ lifestyle was that of prayer and His disciples saw it and asked Him how to seek the Lord in prayer. Why? Internal impulse is more difficult because of our ways of being brought up. Unless we seek the Lord we cannot do the ministry of reconciliation and deliverance..
So whatever you are doing now first enter into inner chamber of your mind and shut off all distractions that hinder your time with God. Seek His direction and His strategy. Like Augustine we should pray ‘You have formed me for Yourself and my heart is restless until i find rest in You. Good health is acquired by finding rest in Him as David prayed patiently in Psa 138:3 and 7.
