15 There is gold and a multitude of rubies, but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.
Today’s Inspiration: Though all eyes are focusing on the coronavirus as both secular and Christian media come in daily to us, one must not neglect praying against the enemy that devours the world’s wealth. In every economy in crisis, there are certain industries that boom and we should not sit back and wait but to prayerfully ask God for the next move towards His economy so as to be a blessing to His kingdom. In Proverbs 20:15 King Solomon quoted that there is gold and a multitude of rubies but the lips of knowledge are a precious Jewel. An edifying word matters to a person’s life that prospers his soul. Our lips are being used to be a blessing not a curse. As Jesus taught, it is a reflection of what is in our heart. Matthew 15:18-19. Defilement comes from within. People even Christians tend to curse even God without fear when they find no way out or when they are deeply oppressed. Once a door is opened to the enemy for him to get in and we neglect it, overtime it becomes a stronghold. But the Bible says we who are trained in righteousness, are able to uproot it. Jeremiah 1:10.
The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart. V27. This is why we have to come to God daily to allow Him to search our hearts and to guide us to His ways. King David does it daily in Ps 139:23-24 imploring God to search his heart to see if there are wickedness in him. If salvation is a one time thing the Lord would not have said again and again throughout scriptures to search our hearts and to allow the scriptures to Pierce our hearts so that we might be convicted to change or to reflect it as a mirror of our soul. Searching our hearts and meditating through scriptures will hasten the transformation of our soul from glory to Glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18. Repentance is to change our hearts to His image.
In Proverbs 20;30 blows that hurt cleanse away our heart sins from our heart as do stripes the inner depths of the heart. Though many times we don’t like these blows, yet it is good for our soul. We should not react or justify ourselves but go to the Lord in reflection and check our hearts. In our own eyes we always think we are right but it is the Lord who weighs our hearts by His word. Proverbs 21:2. So can you see why His word is like a double edged sword that cuts deep into our hearts, piercing even to the division of our soul and our sprit and of joints and marrows and is a discerner of our thoughts and intents of our hearts? Marrow is the one that produces pure blood that determines the level of our immune system. This is why God’s word is the most important medicine for our soul which nourishes our body. 3 John 2.
Apostle John advised that when our soul is healthy, our body is healthy and everything we do and need prospers. At this point of time let us watch ourselves to ensure no idle words leaves our mouth as what we speak will take effect as we are formed into His image. Proverbs 18:21 blessing and cursing comes from our tongue. We will be judged by our actions. 2 Corinthians 5:10. To panic or be rashful is not from God and we should avoid this. In times like this, it is important to stay calm. To worry gets us nowhere as it is like a rocking chair. It rocks only and does not move beyond boundaries and we will not reach our destination. Perseverance and endurance is what is required of us which carries a reward. Rev 3:10-13. Our refuge in in Him. Let the light of our eyes rejoices our heart so that we will have good health always. Proverbs 15:30.
So let’s watch our tongue as a wholesome tongue is a tree of Life. Proverbs 15:4. What we desire just declare the word of God over our life and it will bear fruit. God be praised!
