Proverbs 17:3

The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the hearts.

Today’s Inspiration: The Lord has promised to extend His loving kindness to us. God will let us look triumphantly upon our foes. Psalm 59:10. The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold. The Lord tests our hearts. Proverbs 17:3. God is always refining our hearts as He understands our hearts. He needs to remove all the rubbles from our heart in order to be honorable vessels for His kingdom.

The more significant the call to His kingdom the heavier will be the testing like those of David and Joseph including Jacob’s. Therefore do not be bogged down by circumstances that seem to be unbearable but keep pursuing your passion notwithstanding the circumstances for in due season you shall be established like the heroes of faith.

A rebuke goes deeper into one who has understanding. V10. Restrain your words for if you do, then you are a person of knowledge. Only one with a cool spirit is one of understanding. V28. So keep your cool and have calmness in the spirit. Even a fool who keeps his cool is considered wise. When he guards his lips, he is considered prudent.V28. The more the words the more you expose your weakness. Unless the Lord refines your heart, you cannot be a vessel of honor in His kingdom. Let bitterness and childish reactions be removed from your spirit that all be well with you.

A plan in the heart of a man is like deep waters but it takes a man of understanding to draw it out. Walk always in the light and fellowship of God. A righteous man who walks in his integrity how blessed is his children after him. Therefore for the glory of God, conduct yourself worthy of the Gospel. God be praised.

Prayer: Lord I have considered the works of God. Only You can make a crooked path straight. Days of prosperity and adversity are in Your hands. You create opportunity and calamity. Our life is in your hands. Do good to Your servant O Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
