19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Today’s Inspiration: The promise of God is that you have authority over the power of the enemy and nothing shall any means hurt you. Luke 10:19. If you have such authority then why do you fear? It is all about your faith. The more you trust Him, the more breakthrough you have. Faith is not looking at circumstances but looking at a Holy God who will not leave you nor forsake you but will always be with you. This is the promise He gave to Joshua in Joshua 1:9 and Jacob in Genesis 28:15. The more yielding you are, the more the enemy stays away from you. James 4:7. Commit your problems to the Lord and let Him direct you.
Fellowship with God is not to keep on talking. But to be still and silent before God enjoying His presence like friend to friend with intimacy too deep and too precious for words. Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that He is God. Like Moses before the burning bush, God is so holy and His presence so overwhelming that there are no words to speak.
Take time today to meditate on Deuteronomy 5:32-33. Internalise and personalise the scriptures. Condition your hearts to hear the Lord. Meditation is the key to spiritual renewal of the mind. Let His word penetrates into the soul and spirit, so much that it illuminates and expose your faults that brings you to your knees in full repentance, coming to Jesus in a contrite spirit that you want no other except Jesus. When you encounter Him, there is no choice but to be transformed. In the presence of a Holy God you can only stand amazed like Moses. In the presence of the Holy God you have no words left to speak. All your works seem insignificant. To be in His presence, is all you require and allowing Him to speak to you. This is what Isaiah experienced when the Holy God came to his presence through meditative prayer. He felt cornered when God confronted him of his unclean lips, resulting in his repentance. God personally directed the seraphims to cleanse his lips with a burning coal. In the presence of a Holy God, your feet are glued to the floor and the desire to serve becomes strong. Isaiah 6:1-4.
Our heart is the soil where the word is planted. Every part of our being joins together to nourish the seeds of truth until they sprout and bring life to the soul.
You either live by faith or die in the wilderness. There is no other way. Because of unbelief, the Israelites died in the wilderness in rebellion. Only Joshua and Caleb and those above 20 years old were able to cross over to the Promised land. Faith is trusting Him even if you don’t understand. Faith is trusting God to lead you through despite the storms and the flood. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6. Don’t allow fear, lack, sickness, disobedience and discouragement dwell too long in your mind or it will become a stronghold and start controlling your life. Reprogramme your mind with his thoughts in Philippians 4:8. Shut the door of your mind to the enemy so it does not occupy your mind with his thoughts.
Stay tune to the Holy Spirit.
